As long as I have sufficient funds, I am 100% down.

Went and checked some of the new product out last night, some really sweet stuff that I just can't justify in any way...

Just picked up some Vans 2013 High Standards.  They look exactly like the old skate shoes!  The leather ones not the deck shoes from the 80's.

Guys are like "Woah, this guy grew up in the 80's? WTF?"

I bought mine at the Source snowboard shop today. All of the product that's from last year is marked down. Mitts/gloves we're 50% off. Boards we're 40%. Boots were 40%. Bindings were 40%. Jackets were 40%. They didn't have too much left selection-wise for mitts and gloves (on sale), but i'd give them a shot as I usually have a good amount of luck there.

I'll probably also head to Blank Skate and Snow in Sherwood Park within the next few days. The owner there has been real good to me over the last little while, and although they're a smaller store, they usually have decent selection and decent pricing.

For mitt's, I'm a big fan of layering. I wear an insulated liner and a Goretex shell, giving the option to adjust warmth and ensure dry, all day performance. Don't be afraid to spend 100+ on mitts, my Burton stuff typically lasts 3-4 seasons.

Right on, Thanks.
With regards to layering, if the gloves I have don't come with liners, I found Polyester/Nylon/Spandex material gloves (Very thin) made by underarmor or Head work great. They have little grips so I use them 90% of the time for driving in moderately cold temps actually.

So stoked for the season to start...

Oh daily!
And the backroads near work... Good thing we get hour long lunch breaks, put it that way.
So stoked to hit the mountains.
I've started looking for group / package deals for weekends. Last year 14 of us went to lake louise for 100$ each; covered the lodge, lift passes. Only had to pay for food, fuel, and beer.

I'll be heading out to Revelstoke on the 18th-22nd of December. Already booked everything for a few friends and I.

If you're looking to save $$$ on lift passes, always check out costco, or buy a vertical card - Here is the link (hopefully it works for all of you): http://www.revelstokemountainresort.com/mountain/vertical-card?utm_source=RMR+Subscribers&utm_campaign=1f76cd232b-Ski_Town_Throwdown10_10_2014&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_4ef53f1987-1f76cd232b-319654581&goal=0_4ef53f1987-1f76cd232b-319654581

I'm working on putting together a WSC trip for all of us. I will start a group trip thread as soon as I have more details to a few other locations!

Damn, theres a bunch of little benefits on this bad boy.
I bet you the WSC Trips would fill up super fast.. between Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, and all the WSC members in between...
If you need / want help with planning, I'll volunteer.

Yup! I buy one every year! I had one from Kicking Horse last year that saved me quite a bit on money as well!

Sure thing! I'll keep you in mind, and shoot you a message if I need any help!

Edit: I'm making a thread for it now.

Vacation in the tropics is over and now I'm getting pumped for winter. Probably going to do the Costco pass thing this year because the snow at the local resort was sporadic and I barely paid off my pass. Hopefully the flexibility of different resorts gets a higher pow/day ratio. Might be interested in meeting up in Revelstoke if that's where everyone ends up.
