Flying to Sydney, 787 vs A380
« on: July 14, 2014, 04:17:48 pm »
So there is a chance I might go to Sydney next year for my cousins wedding, looking at the flight options for almost the same price I could possibly fly a A380 via Qantas or a B787 via south china airlines.  I would like to fly in one of the new planes, instead of a standard B777.

So which one would be the more unique of the two planes?  I don't think I would be flying overseas any time soon so that would mean I would probably not get a chance to fly in a A380 any time soon.  Though I wonder once the B787 becomes more common would there be a higher possibly if flying in one of those with a flight starting in Canada?

The A380 and 787 are both awesome planes. I think there's only 137 A380's flying right now, but the 787 is fairly new. I'd probably personally pick the 787 over the A380, just because I've always been a Boeing fan, and it's the uckyfay Dreamliner!
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

787.  The 380 is a fat stubby thing.  the 787 is a sexy plane

Dreamliner will become more popular for medium range flights once a few more are delivered to Air Canada. Rumor has it that they will be operating out of YEG and YYC to Europe.

I personally would choose the Dreamliner for the reason that Jeff and Jory stated above.

yeah this is the only reason why I might want to do the A380 first, there might be higher chances of the 787 in the near future :).

Thanks for the input, it is not easy to choose which new plane to take.  I love planes.
