I just bought a new 15 STI and I cant get my phone to connect to the car. Is my phone the problem or the car, any ideas??

Iphone 5 with no up dates and as for head unit just the basic no nav.

Did you read the owners manual and follow the procedure?  There is a certain order that has to be followed.

Yea the guy at the dealer showed me how to do it but we couldn't get it to work. on the way home with the car I tried it again and it came up on the phone but instead of pressing the button on the steering wheel first I hit connect on the phone and it didn't work and I cant get it to  showed up  again.
