Yeah it seemed to me you were upgrading the car to be immaculate for long term enjoyment... you sure you want to sell it? I can understand you're going to lose a lot of car time in the future though, so maybe it's for the best.
Congrats on the kiddo!

Well, the time has come where I have decided to part out the car. Working on it in my garage I realized how rusted out the rocker sills and floor pans were and after talking to a friend of mine who does auto body and he gave me a rough estimate, I decided that the car wasn't worth salvaging. After much humming and hawing about what to do with it, I finally made the decision to take it out for one last run, get the turbo spooling one last time, and get some decent picture thanks to Jellynuts.

It's bitter sweet parting the car out. It still pulled hard and felt good to drive, but I have to think about the safety of my kid now, who is getting released from the hospital today.

This car club has been a lifeline for me too. When I first moved out from Ontario, I met most of my good friends through this club. First two people I met from the club were Zader and Jellynuts when I was out here on vacation about 2 weeks after buying my WRX and picked up some parts from them. After moving out here, I managed to meet people like Cagare, Rathburn, LilDrunkenSmurf, CanehdianJ, Lackluster, RedandWhite, Diamondedge, DaDuke, 05LGT, RedBimmer93, CMyles, Kijho, Canuckz, darthekai, Asstuna, and so many other amazing people who have become my friends and family out here since. This club is full of great people who are always welcoming and always willing to bust your balls at anytime..lol.

I have a complete partout thread on a couple of the facebook groups right now, but will be posting stuff on here as well in the next couple days. I also want to highlight that just because the Subaru is leaving doesn't mean I'll be leaving the forum. I'll be lurking still and will be posting my build thread for my next project, when ever it starts.

But for the time being, Thank you WSC. It's been fun.

Awe, I'm glad to hear that I have made an impact on your WSC experience. I'm flattered ;D

This is probably my one of my favourites, if not my favourite bugeye build in the community. I was sad to hear that you decided to part it out... although through these pictures, I see what you mean about the rocker and quarter rust. I think i can see it peeking up from under the side skirts. In light of this, parting out the car would be the best thing to do to preserve the dignity of this build... I would hate to see your car suffer the same fate that a couple other particular WSC builds had suffered...

Amazing pictures Jellynuts! You have the ability to make any rusty piece of junk look amazing! ::)

Congratulations on the new addition! Time for a more responsible adult like car (or so I keep being told).

With regards to 'an end of an era', I've had some Sabaton playing today at work.
enjoy!

Well, she's officially gone gone. Guy came up from Lethbridge to pick up my bug. He's going to hold onto it for parts and to have a spare motor. I left some good stuff on the chassis that I was too lazy to take off.

It was a sad day loading her up on the trailer and watching it drive away...

on the positive side, look at all the room for activities!
