Water/liquid in the footwell
« on: September 29, 2014, 07:22:55 pm »
A full bottle of Windex emptied itself into my passenger footwell area..

On the upside, it smells clean.

The bad, it smells clean.  And it's entirely soaked.

What's the best way to clean up?  Do I have to rip out the carpet?  I parked it on a decline, and all of it pooled near the front (before the footwell angles up).  Tried to soak up as much as I can with a towel, but there's plenty left.

Thanks...

Shopvac.
Suck as much out as you can.
If it's too cold out for it to evaporate by leaving the door open, then maybe a hair dryer?

SHAMWOW!

Lol kidding aside, shop vac is the best way. If you have a garage, park inside and put a small heater inside with the sunroof open. Or fan. Just don't forget about it.

:)  Thanks..  it's all done sucking.  I have a radiant heater (the dish type from Costco) going now, but it's not really aimed at the wet spot.  Sort of aimed into the car from the floor outside.
