Hey Everyone,

For our December special we decided to offer a smoking price on a full synthetic Motul Oil Change!  We are attempting our first ever "no appointment necessary" Oil change with a target time of around 1 hour (ish) on a first come first served basis.  For non-Subaru's we would ask that you call ahead so we can try and make sure we have the correct oil filter ready.  This special applies to all year/make/models within reason (exotic cars and internal cartridge style oil filter cars may be extra)

Details:

Oil - Motul 8100 XCess 5W40 (up to 5L, additional required is $10/L extra)
Oil Filter - OEM Subaru (or OEM equiv for other makes)
Labor - Included
Price $80 Including GST!

We are also including a basic inspection including checking all easily accessible fluids, leaks, belts, and hoses.  Coolant strength will be checked, battery will be load tested and checked.  Visual Inspection of brakes, steering and suspension, tires and tire pressures will be also checked.  On Subaru's we will visually check timing belt as well (if no sticker and km at or above 90,000km)

This special lasts until December 24th 2014.

5W40 is what we have always used.  Same cold weight of 5W but higher viscosity at warm temperature (40W)

This Motul is an OEM Approved oil.

Typically most OEM's are going towards a 5W20 oil for increased fuel economy, but this is a very thin oil that may reduce engine longevity.

A 5W40 oil is still thicker when cold than a 5W30 oil, in spite of the same "5W" viscosity rating.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter much, as long as you're using a quality oil. Which Motul 8100 definitely is.
