It's fairly cheap (and a known recipie) to turn it into a competitive STC car...

Great, that is exactly the website I was looking at.  Seems like a very cost effective formula

I should have put that in quotations.  It was a name suggestion in response to:

Oh, and its' name was always "The Civic"

"The Ginger"

But sure.  Ginger Itchiban works too.

I call dibs on a spin around the block. I miss my Civic...
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Initial driving impressions: not too bad for a car this old. Still felt solid, brakes and steering we decent, suspension felt only a little tired, and the engine pulled well. It's definitely burning oil and smoking a bunch, but other than that, it's a healthy Honda!

A few more pictures from todays shenanigans:

Spare transmission, drive shafts, air boxes, bits and pieces

Do you guys want an engine stand for the spare motor?  I have a second one kicking around that I'm not using.

We do have one already, but thanks for the offer.

Adam and I have agreed on a name: Ginger. As previously stated, it fits rather well. I also spent about 30 minutes cleaning about 17 pounds of dust from the car last night. Should yield better performance without all that weight. I'll probably start driving without pants to further that cause.

Whoa whoa whoa, not worth the weight savings. I would rather you start jogging or something for weight reduction.

Yes, I'll definitely keep my boxers on. Maybe even try and find some super light board shorts or something. Gotta do what you can for the 5 volts!

My vote is for you guys to drive it for a year in STC and then go nuts and make a SMF beast out of it. There is a newer Civic hatch in Winnipeg running SMF and in the rain both of us on street tires, he was FTD raw and I was some 3 seconds slower. You can then also run R-comps  >:D

Yeah, STC this upcoming season for sure. SMF sounds like fun, but no trailer or tow vehicle will make for some ittshay rides down.

I knew that was you!   I see you liked red back then too but I can't tell if that's Adam in the blue?

Yeah, that's him. Us Ontario boys know how to party!

The good news is you guys have a theme (and costumes) picked out if you attend any team events.
