Quick update on the car.
It's now insured and reg'd and ready to go! I've picked up some hub-centric rings for the Rota Sliptreams from Kyle at Spec-R, will be fitting those later today or tomorrow, along with an oil change that it so desperately needs. According to steveb0t, the oil in its is 2+ years old, and it's dino oil.
Talked to LilDrunkenSmurf at the meet on Tuesday, and he's informed me that previous owners diagnosed the oil burning as blow-by due to a ring lands issue. At least we've got a spare motor. Adam and I are planning on running it as is until something more catastrophic happens, because it still feels fairly strong, and we don't give a itshay. We'll probably run a bunch of Seafoam through it too for a fun times smoke show.
Mid-November, we're planning on putting her up on jack stands in the garage and making a list of exactly what we're going to maintain, replace, flush out, redo, retrofit, and cobble together. By Christmas, we should have a bunch of new parts to toss on the car. Stance Jesus here we come!
