AC Hydraulics DK13HLQ - Short notice
« on: October 21, 2014, 01:02:29 PM »
I'm buying some jacks for the rally team and might as well see if anyone else wants one.
This is the Quick lift, 3.5" low profile, 29" lift model.

All orders must be placed by Noon, Friday 23-Oct.

Product and details here:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/Porsche/catalog/shopcart/TOOL/POR_TOOL_ACHyd1_pg1.htm

Cost will be aprox $725 CDN landed in Calgary. On your own you're looking at $800-850.  Lordco sells for $1200, Rocket Rally around $900.
I will be asking for a deposit of $500 via email transfer on all orders (this is not negotiable. Sorry). Final outstanding subject to final cost (depending on how many I get) payable on delivery.
Any further shipping outside of Calgary will be at buyer's expense.

PM for any questions or to order.

Got any leads on tall stands to go with that jack?

21"

Likely $100 each landed. Or truck stands from Princess...
Sill stands are the way to go, though I realize normal people don't have sill stands for their grocery-getter.

The reason people like these jacks so much is the super low clearance to fit under Porches and such, and rally teams use them to get up on sill stands with clearance to drop a tranny, engine, or just have a nice picnic under the car.

There's some threads on AC and Compac jacks at Garage Journal.  Apparently there's a Canadian distributor for AC - Flema out of Kelowna.

There was a GB on these going back ~9 years on 780tuners.. amazing how they've gone from $350 to over $700 each.  They went through All Tire Supply, and a few months ago I contacted them to get a price of one brought up here - they don't sell AC anymore but substituted a Compac 90534 and they priced it out to $710USD.  Ouch.. if you want I can contact them again to see if they'll do a bulk price discount but I wouldn't be surprised if it's still higher than your price.

They're going to park their car over there. You're going to park your car over here. Get it?

I've already commited too much time to this purchase to change vendors, but thanks for the info.

That Compac Unit is 117Lbs! vs the 65lb AC, and looks to be much taller at the back end. I'll stick with the tried and proven AC for rally.

[EDIT]
Holy hot damn.  Getting a great deal from Flema.  Thanks for the tip.

$650 + Tax and shipping. I had Pelican down to $532US, but FedEx Intl. Ground is pricey.

This is a pretty good deal considering the list price of most places.

Great job! You used the SEARCH function.

For all those looking to make this happen in the Future:

Pelican Parts sells these bad boys for $550US plus a whole lot of shipping via FedEx Ground Intl.

Flema in Kelowna has a stock pile that they are currently clearing out at $650 CDN. Shipping to Calgary around $75 www.flemaproducts.com
Not actually listed on the website, call Todd. Super good guys to work with.

I will try get Shawn together with Flema so he can try have some stock locally www.rallysport.ca
