Well, figured I should start a thread for the Parallel 49 Advent Calendar. Thought I had a Phillips Snowcase until I looked a bit closer.

So here is the case:

Day 1: Schwarzwald - Chocolate and Cherry Ale

Dark beer with a deep chocolate flavour, very strong finish. I never was a fan of chocolate beers.

Day 2 - Red Racer Pilsner

I have always enjoyed this beer, I know many others do too, so not much more to add other than that. My wife, Lianne very much enjoyed this one as well, slept well after having it just before bed.

Day 3 - Filthy Dirty IPA

We both enjoyed this IPA. The beer had a taste of grapefruit to it, and not too bitter of a finish, very refreshing.

Bought this case for my brother in law and had a taste of this one and neither of us enjoyed it. Very strong and the after taste was not something you wanted lingering in your mouth.

Agreed, although I did find that the after taste went away quicker than other similar beers I have had. I have not really enjoyed that many dark beers.

Day 4 - Red Racer Wheat Ale

I have not tried their wheat ale before, will see how it is later this evening.

Day 5: Old Boy

Looks like another chocolate ale. Hopefully better than the first day.

Day 6: Red Racer Oatmeal Stout

Never a huge fan of oatmeal beers but this was not bad, it was not as strong of a finish I am used to with these beers.

Hoppy Pale ale, clean finish.

I was nervous about this one as I am not a huge fan of dark ales, but it was actually quite good.

Day 18 - Red Racer Imperial India Pale Ale

Is it just me or do all of the beers from this brewery have a citrus taste to them. Not a bad thing, just finding it in the whole Red Racer lineup.
