Is that a trend over there? Mostly black, white and grey cars?

I guess if I think about it, Alberta is no different. Most cars here are those 3 colours as well...

remove taxi's & trucks (because most trucks are blue) ... and I would say 95 % of all cars in Korea are white, black or silver.

Now back in China again:
This a pretty typical .. we are going to go from 3 lanes to 5.
Squeeze the rt lane down to 50%,  and end the line markings in the transition... let the people do what they want... (really,  lane markings don't actually do anything in China anyway...) total waste of paint. & yes that's a Buick, very popular here... and yes the dotted line ends in the middle of the "new" lane...

These seem to be all over the place... I assume they are locking parking spots... pay to get your car out... it looks like there is a locking plate/alarm thingy that flips up and down

have been on the road way to much lately,
but here are a few tid bits:
get a little out of the bigger centers in mainland China, and these are the work horses..

you still see some of these, but 20 years ago when I was in China, they were everywhere:

the below was in shenzhen... seems there is no end of cool cars and money...
Bently's are like Subarus, right? always try to park beside one..

this MONSTER was parked outside my hotel... its even bigger in real life...

I dont know the make, it was still parked there in the am, , the two licence plates are for Hong Kong and China,,

If I had to have a minivan, Im thinking it would be one of these, Ive only seen them in RHD,, its a toyota called an ALPHARD and some of the trim levels are SUPER nice, Ive ridden in quite a few and they seem to have pretty good power too. I've also seen them labeled as VELLFIRE.. that's actually a kinda cool name.. for a minvan

and if your going to do soccer runs, your going to need the BIG dinner plates all around and 6 pot brembos up front.... "Honey, you know that down hill left hand turn on the way to soccer practice?, I was a little concerned you might over heat the brakes, so I just did a small upgrade to the minivan's brakes"... I took a close look they were real.. and brembos on the rears too.

oh and I like the cabs in Hong Kong too:
real honest cars, I hope its a straight six in these.. cause I would like one of these too :) (Toyota Crown, "comfort cab") they just look "right" in a Datsun 510 kinda way...

that's if for now, exit HK tomorrow.

Ah you beat me to the punch for HK.

Do the Vellfires/Alphards come with big brakes from factory?  It's not every time, but very often, I see them equipped with Brembos.

My cousin has one and they're very nice on the inside too!

re: Alphard/vellfire-not sure about the brake option, .. Im guessing its a dealer or factory option, ive seen so many with big dinner plates and large calipers.... more than I would expect if it was an "aftermarket upgrade"..

I did see this on the way to the train station this am... I like the plate!, maybe the owner won it :)

I wonder what the maintenance  log book looks like?

Finally, something I get.
I may scream like a dainty lady, but I punch like a fairly strong 11-year-old.

Thought I might fire this up again, been travelling as much as before, maybe more, but have not been posting... anyway... currently in Malaysia, and small displacement bikes abound, ... even still quite a few 2 stokes!... makes me want for some skinny wheeled, light, fun bike...

or maybe some brand new 1965? technology.?

and i visited a car parts store, the aftermarket is strong here... ive never seen  a parts per sq. foot density this high!... not even in Japan...
these bins of silicone hoses will give you an idea..

Oh and for Subaru spotting?... a few foresters.... but not many... at all.
