The 3 is raw.  Lighter than more agile.  The 6 probably feels like a 747.  And by that contrast, my STI probably feels like the Hindenburg.  So GR's are like the International Space Station.

What do you mean big over the top? As in they're listed very high?

Yes.
Its a website where used car dealers advertise their inventory cars.
Often the prices are higher than the auctions, but on the other hand depends what you looking for.
I like auctions better since you can see original auction sheets, tradecarview guys can be creative with altering auction sheets just to sell the car.
I am not saying that's very common but i have seen it.
Anyways, after buying my previous SF5 few years ago and getting seriously burned I am not using this site anymore.

Anyone bring in the 2001 WRX STi from JDMland yet?

Was tinkering with the idea, and there's a few Type RAs that have come up.

How do they rate compared to the older GC8s and fatter NADM cars?

I have a 2001 STi with 74km on the clock being delivered to Edmonton today.

They've went up in price (13-16K) depending on auction grade and KM's. I went with a GDB over a GC8 for the engine/transmission/diffs.... but I still think GC8's look better.

100% agree!  That'd be a difficult choice for me

I’ve been keeping an eye out for one as well and have noticed the same. Sooo I’ve started looking at GDB’s haha.

Haha well I’m looking for a Version 6 Type R in Steel Blue Mica, so unless you’re looking for the same unicorn, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.  :P

I wanted to do this, but by the time I got the GC here and swapped a 6 speed it was almost the same price as a GDB, but without the rest of the drive train.

Although i'm not looking for one of these in particular, I have bid on one in the past little while haha. I'll stay out of your business now though hahaha

Yeah, I feel you... I may end up just importing one and then take on a project within the next little bit if they come up for sale in the summer and make the project my big swap before I sell my imported one. We'll see though... Only time will tell.

If while searching, you guys come across cool convertibles like e46 M3, or early 2000 Porsche convertibles (manual only) in the $10-15k range, let me know. Depending on price, importing might be a way to get one with quite lower km.

I've actually considered looking at some Porsche's in that range. I'll certainly let you know if I find anything worthwhile!
