Very nice Z-cars!

My buddy had a 260Z when I was just out of high school.  Inline 6, tri-weber carbs and lots and lots of rust...

Looks a bit to goofy with the fog lights sitting proud of the bumper and that wing needs to be at least 3 time that size.

Wow that's gorgeous, how much do those go for? Do you have the link?

It went unsold at 2,300,000 yen (24k).
The 3 is raw.  Lighter than more agile.  The 6 probably feels like a 747.  And by that contrast, my STI probably feels like the Hindenburg.  So GR's are like the International Space Station.

I see two Bmw E30 M3s the other day in auction.....soooo muccchhhhh wannntttttt....one sold for 2,500,000¥, the other started at 4,500,000¥,I almost put my kidney up for sale on eBay.
The car is worth about $12,000 but I got about $12,000 in parts now. Once they're all installed the car should be worth about $10,000.. Car guy math

William has this 2000 AMG CL55 in Japan.

http://jdmconnection.ca/?page_id=10&id=1480

Looks to be an extremely nice car.  I asked if he was bring it to Canada but he said not till it's sold.

If it was any color other than white inside, I would VERY, VERY SERIOUSLY consider it.  The car is a wolf in sheep's clothing.  A team in the US used one to set a new record time in the coast to coast run.  (Gumball Rally in real life).

Not to be a GT-R fanboy, but this just popped up in auction. Here's the link http://auc.authorityimports.com/aj-0pJwzMYFf6Eg5tw.htm keep in mind that will become outdated pretty quickly. It's a 4.5 B grade, with an amazing 17,950km. Blue in color, I bet this will sell for $50,000 to $55,000 CAD.

basically brand new bay side blue GT-R, who the hell allowed it to end up at auction. Their loss, another's gain.

Is it wrong to feel like I want to cuddle with it...lick it, caress it lovingly.

Insurance on that thing will be insane. Because it's JDM, it'll be PLPD only, unless you go through the whole appraisal process and such.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

I have full coverage on my GC8, no appraisal was required, same with my JZX100 before I sold it.
Just depends on the company.

I have full coverage as well.  Full PLPD, glass, fire, theft...

I'm with Co-operators in Stony Plain.  William put me onto them and according to the insurance agent, they do 3-4 JDM vehicles a week.

Cheers,

Ds

I called several big companies (TD, Intact) and they would NOT do full coverage on a JDM, who are you with?

Yeah, I've had the mini with several companies, won't do full coverage. Who you with?

I'm with Johnson Inc. No crazy deductible either, which is why I left my last company when I tried to get full coverage on my Chaser.
I think the deductible might be higher if you've been driving RHD for less than 2 years, because they did ask me and I had to provide proof in the form of my BOS for my GC8 IIRC, but they've been great and super easy to deal with since I switched over.
Plus, Airmiles ftw!

TD now, only liability. Intact and a few of the other big names that I can't recall wouldn't go near my car with a 10 foot pole

After two years of driving my RHD Land Rover, I called Monnex, who refused me comprehensive initially, and said, 'get real', then they sent me an insurance inspection form and gave me full coverage.  Didn't bother for my S/tb.  If you are a good customer, you don't necessarily have to take no for an answer.
