Just been quietly maintaining this poor girl.
After my first and last AutoX of the season, I did the H6 rear brake upgrade. Got some cheap caliper brackets and rotors off Rockauto, and it bolts right up for a more even braking bias. Calipers and pads are re-used. It's surprisingly noticeable.
No pictures of the everything else I've done.
Recently my front O2 sensor died a tragic death. I suspect the passed summer of daily anti-lag and launch control use might have contributed to it's failure. My clutch also recently went up in smoke during aforementioned launches. Seriously, I've been straight ignant wit dis itchbay. Shudders a bit on normal starts. Everything has outlasted expectations, though.
Otherwise, where it's at;
- Replace Oil Pressure Sender because it was leaky.
- Swapped to a catted downpipe to
produce less stinky exhaust fumes.
- Replaced and relocated the O2 sensor from the factory position in the headers, to post-turbo in the downpipe, so maybe it will survive anti-lag.
- No more launch control until I commit to replacing my clutch because time is precious and wow I have way less of it now. Still holds on 3rd/4th gear pulls, so #sendit.
- Set up hybrid boost control, 3-port EBC in parallel with a Dawes MBC. It's the itshay, everyone should do this. So power. Much smooth.
- Ditched my 87octane tune (which had run dandy for many km and several AutoX days), and went full send on 91octane. Fack she quick.
I've got some soft plans for other stuff. Will see how it pans out. For now it just needs to get me to work.
