It's pretty much everything I wanted and more.

I may scream like a dainty lady, but I punch like a fairly strong 11-year-old.

Electric is way cooler than that old VOE option. If you can get the motor to go fast enough you can play a little song on the highway with 120dB exhaust screams and fire.

I love it.  When are you next in Calgary?  My only concern is that the cutout is before the cat, and before the O2 sensor.

Please do mine.

I haven't seen a P0420 yet. Dump is after the front O2 sensor, which is all that really matters. Fuel trims by the rear O2 sensor should be disabled, unless your tuner is a hack.

I am thinking I'll make an appearance at Timmies tomorrow, pending weather?

Installation details;

- Crawl under car and mock up location - mark with sharpie.
- Remove DP, use angle grinder to open up a gaping triangular hole
- Faff about cleaning and figuring out a ghetto way to backpurge without dual regulators.
- Melt stuff together. (A welder I am not)

Lessons learned; positioning is so so important. If you aren't comfortable and stable, it's going to look like dogshit.
And if you're screwing up with your tempo and things start getting hella hot, just stop, and be patient letting the part cool before continuing.

Not a terrible way to smuggle out some product from Lafarge.

Working at lafarge I'd be buying a bulk pack of them from aliexpress and changing them out monthly.

Ya know, I thought the same way. I have a bunch of filters sitting on the shelf. But removing a dozen screws just seemed like too much of a task, and the interior wasn't getting dusty so I ignored it.

Somewhat valid, subaru made it an unreasonable pain in the assay to access on the GD/SG chassis. I can do the cabin air filter on the lexus in 15 seconds.

I bring a lot more home in my lungs.
I think I'd consider upgrading to something a bit better than a paper dust mask. Also got your name sewed on your coveralls now eh? And a radio too. Le fancy.

It's 15 minutes instead, and really not THAT awful. I'm just a lazy sack of crap.

Ya, if I knew I was going to take a bath in dust, I would've been wearing my PAPR. It was gongshow. Classic Friday afternoon where your motivation is at it's lowest and you really don't want to deal with extra BS.

Cell phone mic doesn't do it justice, and I'm not entirely sure where the heck my Zoom went.

Cruise control has been flaky lately. The toggle switch on the dash works fine, but the steering wheel control doesn't always register. Holding it down with force and jiggling would get it to hold, but fack it's annoying. And trying to maintain highway speed wearing work boots is a coont.

Start here

Remove and disassemble switch. As expected - 16 year old grease has turned waxy and yuck.

Clean it up, scrub everything to clear off oxidation. Apply a light film of silicone grease.

Reassemble and cruise works dandy again.

Oooof, over a year since the last update. Oil change today, and that's about all this car has been getting. General maintenance.

I'm doing a slight un-rice. Went back to stock intake. The amount of grit on the wrong side of the filter always disturbed me. I don't care what K&N/AEM/APS/Whoever says, nothing filters as well as paper pleat.
Swapped back to stock sway bars. Noticeably less side-to-side jostling. I figure I probably won't AutoX this car again, so may as well go softer for some extra winter grip.
And I've been considering swapping out the VF48 for the TD04. Do I wanna? I dunno.

I also took this picture for Tuna. It's his fault I even notice this stuff now.
