Compustar Removal Help
« on: May 15, 2015, 06:50:39 pm »
We bought a used vehicle that came installed with a 1-way compustar alarm. 1WSHR-PRO says on the FOB. Its been giving us grief and hasn't worked properly, not locking doors, not shutting off all the accessories etc. Is there a way to safely remove the system and go back to the factory alarm? I had a look around and from what I see, there are wires going to the steering column, around the cluster to a relay, through the firewall to teh fuse box (there is no fuse in the box btw which I found odd). Looks like its just grounded to the engine bay and thats it. I've located all the wiring, relays and antenna, still not sure where they mounted the computer box, probably underneath the steering column. Obviously I don't want to go around cutting wires, but if anyone has an experience installing this maybe they can help with the removal. Perhaps a wiring diagram?

Thanks.
