A used sb has a niche in the marketplace. But I'd rather stick with new/reman/built for longer term reliability. Still haven't settled on exact route, but narrowed down somewhat. Been too busy elsewhere recently to move this along much. But did order more parts this morning. Complete silicone hose kit, Grimmspeed cross pipe, ARP head studs, also TSK3 kit. A bit of TOB type noise after Allmakes tranny work and clutch install, so will address once the motor is out. Just not sure yet what motor is going back in.

Shortblock arrived late last week, took it in today for installation. Should be done in 3 weeks or so.

Please keep us updated on your progress. I just took out the engine from the car, preparing it to send away for rebuild.

How's the new motor? Hoping to never reach this point, but at 197k you never know. Although leakdown and compression at 191k were great.

It runs really well. Quick smooth spool with the Grimmspeed up and crosspipes. Had it parked for a few weeks when on vacation, but finally breaking it in.
