Why not just get a shop to do it? Evac the system, take the car, fix it, then bring back for recharge. That way you're not releasing what remains in your system to atmosphere, and you're sure that the air in the system is purged and properly refilled.

Too much and it won't work very well, same with not enough. It's not like old r12 systems where you just shove it in and watch the little eye

I recharged my own A/C system once. Followed the directions - one can of lube, two cans of this, blah blah. Blew ice cold air, itshay was so cash. Worked for a few months. Next thing I know, this happens;

DIY A/C charging is for greasy used car lots who need the car out the door.

I may scream like a dainty lady, but I punch like a fairly strong 11-year-old.

Lol love that pic. Looks sweet. I very much so discourage people from doing their own ac recharge for that reason. You never know what else they have in that can. I've never tried buying the real stuff on my own, but there's probably a good reason for needing a ticket to buy it

That pic is after the A/C clutch cooled a bit. With the engine running, it was shooting sparks and itshay. It was badass.
