Sway bar on order now too, found it on Ebay from the manufacture and bid $65 USD less than asking and they accepted.  Still pricey at $930 CAD shipped  :o

Holy itshay 930 bones for a sway bar?!?! Is it made from ground and sintered unicorns? It looks super adjustable which justifies the price...

The sway bar on our 25 year old Civic goes for 600 USD. With the crappy exchange plus shipping, I'd bet it would be close to 900 as well. Quality parts, man...

Yup. $675 USD + shipping. Same reason I haven't bought one yet.

Stuff is not cheap for S2000s.  I need a very stiff bar to keep the inside rear wheel from lifting in medium corners.  The did end up refunding me another $50 USD as I took a bar with chipped paint, so I saved $110 USD overall and they had really fast and friendly customer service, so +1 for Karcepts!

Do they make a generic blade style swaybar adapter for the S2000? You could run the world of cheap-assay circle track bars with an appropriate blade.

Oh hell no. I have a wedding that's I have to pay for in USD. Until the dollar comes down, about the only thing I'm planning on buying is a headunit. Maybe an FIPK.

Jesus Christ. The sway bar I want is $130 USD. I really can't see there being a huge quality difference there. Must be a numbers thing.

Yeah the S2000 is terrible when it comes to the cost of modifications.

Want a turbo? $10-15k
Want a supercharger? $5-7k
Want a header back exhaust? $3-4K
Want coilovers that are better than stock? $3-a billion

FSB has arrived.  Wheels getting picked up today courtesy of Redbimmer93.  Tires hopefully in the next week or so.

Thanks, lots of little things I want to do over winter etc too for next year's race season, but Redbimmer93 doesn't seem as enthusiastic about them  :P

Please do try and keep this straight.  lol  It still works too,  because I remember you owning one.

I dunno, the S2000 and 135i are pretty close in cost for mods in my opinion.  Its just each one needs different major mods to be similar...

You should get the bar hydrodipped to better reflect its cost

Yup, it's mostly an "economy of scale" thing... There's a smaller total # of S2000's compared to Miata, so even if the same percentage of owners were doing motorsports (they aren't) the market for s2000 non-stancetard suspension parts is much smaller.

With that said... there are some "normal" options that aren't $900: http://www.amazon.ca/Whiteline-BHF48-Front-Heavy-Duty/dp/B0070I96UK

I wonder if the AP1 swaybar is stiffer than the AP2...

The KArcepts bar has spring rates from 497 up to 1574 (adjustability range depends on the chosen bar's wall thickness).
