I don't often drive this car, mainly because of the itshay assay wheels and tires on it right now and id rather commute in my Tacoma, but when I do, I have to say it really puts a smile on my face.  More so then any other car I can think of that I have owned.  I am seriously considering tearing down the car over winter, rebuilding the engine to factory spec (legal for B street of course), replacing the clutch, refreshing all the suspension bushings and balljoints, possibly replacing or rebuilding the rear diff (seems a wee bit noisy on decel), taking care of any rust etc I find (there is a small bubble just starting on one rear fender), respraying the front bumper and fenders, popping out the dents on the fenders, changing the brake rotors (small amount of pulsation under light braking), and spent major time reviving the paint.

It would probably keep me out of trouble.  I really don't have the urge to buy and sell cars anymore, I am quite happy with both my vehicles.  I don't really have any plans to modify either much (I don't even want to lift my Tacoma anymore after seeing how capable it was with just tires off road).  I actually feel like I would enjoy taking my time and reviving the car.

That's a very expensive project. Can't buy OEM bushings for the control arms individually. Have to buy the entire arm assembly. IIRC each arm is about $500CAD. 8 arms.

Fair enough, for sure the balljoints I plan to do though.

If the dollar happens to go up (or even if it doesn't....), I recommend ordering OEM parts from Bernardi in the states. They are the only ones I could find that would ship to Canada. Control arms are around $200 USD as opposed to $500 CAD locally I think.  http://www.bernardiparts.com
Of course, you could also just order the parts at a dealership in Montana and then drive down and pick them up.

Thanks for letting me take a spin.

I'm very impressed with the handling and the shifter is kinda awesome.  Also, VTEC.

Sway bar is on after a minor struggle with one old sway bar end link. Still oversteers under full throttle on tighter turns but seems to understeer like a motheruckfayer on corners like cloverleafs under mid throttle. Needs assessment with proper tires.

Still waiting on my lug nuts.  Never again will I trust Ebay's estimated shipping time...

First shake down in semi ready form for next year will be happening for me this Sunday.

This is why we (S2000 owners) all have adjustable Koni shocks -- the ability to dial out understeer (at least for the worst bits).  It's nice to be able to tweak the shocks for a given course and get the handling you want.  Swaybar to cure the snap oversteer and inside rear tire lift.  Shocks to bring the understeer back to something reasonable.

I don't think I'll ever install shocks on mine. The OEM suspension is just too perfect for street driving.

Yellows are on the list for this winter's tear down and rebuild. The oem suspension has really good ride quality though.

When set to full soft, the re-valved Konis give a better ride on the street than the OEM shocks.

Do you have a compression/dyno graph of both shocks?

Not the OEM ones -- perhaps that's available online somewhere?  I do have dyno graphs for the Konis (filed somewhere).

I have read so much about re-valved Koni's for the S2K.  Where do you go to get re-valved Koni's for the car.  I plan to do the same on my S2k with probably the same front bar.
