I dunno the front of the S2000 does kinda remind me of Toothless.  I think the name suits it.
I don't name things I know I'm going to sell eventually. Hence why I'd never name any kids I had.

I name my cars because of my emotional attachment, but it's weird to hear other people refer to the name.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Tomorrow Redbimmer93 and I might go compare the S2000 to the ND Miata that finally arrived at dealers.  Then its teardown time  :'(

There is going to be a lot of love and investment into this car over winter, I can't decide how far I want to go...

Nah, he wants to race B-street, which means you can't crack the motor. He's talking refreshing the whole thing. Besides, since the F20C/F22C is a derivative of the K-series, there are kits to drop the K24 pistons and crank into the motor, and get way more torque out of it pretty easily.

Or, for the price it would cost to do all that, supercharge it and make 400 whp and 280-300 wtq... then just upgrade the diff and you're good to go.

Again, push him out of B-street. I feel like you're not getting this. He's likely looking to do what Asstuna did to the Focus... Replace all the bushings with fresh ones, upgrade the front sway (done), potentially replace the shocks with Koni's depending on cost (unlikely), upgrade to new pads, replace the rotors, etc.

In B-street the only mods you're allowed is any exhaust post-cat as long as it exits behind the driver, a single sway (front or rear), shocks, and comfort + convenience.
You need to use stock sized wheels (up or down 1" in diameter, same width, within 6mm of OEM offset), any sized tires that will fit without modifying the wheels or fenders, and that's pretty much it.

Yes Jory is right, I don't want to push myself out of B street because #1 it gets very very expensive very quickly, #2 it makes the car less street able in my opinion, and #3 this car isn't nice enough to spend that kind of money.

A summary of events from last night:

4:30pm load up engine crane from my parent's garage into Tacoma, don't bother strapping it down or pushing it all the way in so I can close tail gate, move mom's car back into garage when leaving and find a sweet phillips screwdriver in the drivers side footwell for some reason, text my dad and he tells me someone must have left that in there.  Realize car hasn't been touched by anyone else but him, I and my mom and think to myself he's lying and must have left that in there.  Drive to Redbimmer93s house.  Get to RB93s house and immediately start ripping HIDs out of the Tacoma while RB93 works on replacing another upper idler puller on the Tacoma that is noisy.  Realize I am an idiot and bought a lower idler puller off Rock Auto which doesn't need to be replaced...yet.  Jump in LW and drive to Crappy Tire in hopes they have an upper one so I can fix this tonight, on the way get high beamed by some turd in a Venza for no apparent reason on Crowchild.  Leave him in some second gear dust with all the torques.  Find pulley in stock at Crappy Tire and far cheaper then Rock Auto, finally they are good for something.  Drive back via 7EREVEN for some Redbull and Doritos.  Arrive back, RedNWhite drops off some free beer in exchange for a Redbull.  Finish returning stock bulb to Tacoma, rob second bulb out of LW since we lost a bulb somewhere in RB93s garage and it's getting the obnoxious HIDs anyway.  Install new pulley, move Tacoma, LW and Legacy so we can offload engine crane into garage.  Offload crane and enjoy some soup and bread courtesy of RB93s mom.

7pm look at Honda and attempt to devise plan in head.  Decide plans are for ussiepays and immediately start working on 5 jobs at once.  Put car on jackstands, drain coolant, start removing cat back exhaust, more friends show up to heckle us and do nothing but change the radio station and drink beer.  Spend ages trying to get exhaust manifold heat shield off, curse engineers multiple times for that one uckfaying bolt that holds the black body colored splash/battery shield in located in the passenger rear corner area of the engine.  Create extendo 10mm wrench to finally get that just loose enough to take off courtesy of RB93s brother and our other friend.  All this time RB93 has been trying to take the catback exhaust bolts out which aren't exactly free and easy to break loose.  A multitude of swears and tools coming in and noises that worry me happen over this time period.  Curse motomaster gloves for falling apart after only two months of use.  Remove alternator, remove A/C compressor bolts, finally hear that catback is free from front exhaust section.  Take photos of coolant hose boner.  9:30 PM call it a night and go home.

I think it likes being touched...

It was one of the nice quality blue Fuller ones.  99% sure its my dads out of his kit because mine are Mastercraft soft grip ones.

So do I, but the Mastercraft ones were on sale for like 75% off back in 2009.

When it comes to the plan, just follow the fsm, you're not going to find a better write up than it...

Don't have the FSM.  RB93 found some online guide which I glanced at but I had already done most of that.  I will need to find it for reassembly torques though.

This is said guide:
http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/982149-diy-engine-removal-rebuildupdated-9292012/
It seems like a pretty good guide. Lots of pictures!... however if anybody who has pulled an engine on an s2000 could provide some input, that would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: I just realized now that the author of this write-up NEVER FINISHED THE uckfaying GUIDE!!!!! :-X

Do anyone know where we could find a FSM?

I lost my mini blade screwdriver a couple days ago. That was probably my favourite screwdriver. It was so small and easy to handle :(
