Has he pulled the engine?

I think he's pulled the airbox off... and the exhaust.

But have you ordered the clutch?

One engine mount, a couple exhaust manifold bolts and bellhousing bolts are whats left.  Nope still waiting to see the condition of the pressure plate and flywheel before I make that call.  Hopefully Saturday I get some time after Ghost lake to finally get it out.

Fast Wheels seems pretty pricey (some wheels are a decent price though). Are they made in Canada, or China?

I assume Fast Wheels still makes the wheels in China, because those prices are kind of insane.

Probably.  Retail on those wheels is like $165/wheel before tax and hub rings etc.

Considering where you work, are you getting a further discount on 'em?

No idea but we sell a lot of their wheel lines and have had good luck and reviews from customers.

Hey, spread the love a little bit. I need wheels for the Civic and I am extremely cheap.

That said they don't seem to have a 15" narrower than 15x6.5 which seems like it might be un-fun with that car.

Send me a PM with wheel sizing you want and I will get you some options.

PFT, you car has power steering, right? I'll let you drive mine around the parking lot a few times to strengthen those spaghetti noodles up!

It has power steering, but I was thinking more about scrub radius and other complicated suspension engineering stuff I don't understand like that.

It's more fun with less tire :)

Wheels are here. Decided to shove some 245/45/16 RE11s on them and see if it will fit on stock suspension.

Isn't 245/45R16 shorter than 225/50R16?  (Yes, by 4.5mm)  I don't see why it wouldn't fit.

More worried about fender clearance under compression, because the wheels are also more aggressive then the factory ones.

et40... oh jeeze.  I can't help with _that_.

But... http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp says:

Suspension clearance:   100% clear (leaves even more room than OEM)
Fenders clearance:   Package 2 will stick out 33 mm (1.3'') farther. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider narrower tires or higher offset.
Wheelwells clearance:   100% clear (leaves even more room than OEM)
SPEEDOMETER:   When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 59.4mph (95.6km/h): 1% slower.

hehe, "package"

Yep I used that site to calculate it. We will test fit one tire first, if it doesn't work 225/50/16 it is.

I'm never pulling a engine again to do a clutch.

Unrelated side note I'm an idiot.

Be sure to measure the flywheel thickness when you are in there.  I went through 3 clutches on our yellow S2000 and am on my 2nd clutch with the red one.  The new flywheel made all the difference this time -- that sucker grabs incredibly well compared to anything I have experienced before.

Spent the last two hours struggling to get the damn subframe lowered and no matter what it keeps cocking and won't come down evenly.

I will never attempt another clutch on jackstands.
