Yes it exists. No, I don't think it'll make it to Canada any time soon.

Or you could just import an motor/required parts from a country that has EE engines.

Or just buy a readily available diesel car.

There were a ton of these in Italy. It was pretty weird to see a GR-era Impreza with a giant hood scoop and making what I can only describe as super tractor sounds.

They can put out a bit of power too... It'd be a good alternative if you wanted to pull small cars without a truck.

I'd be down with a swap of this nature. They are fun engines.

This would be so much fun! Plus who can say no to Calgary - Vancouver on one tank of gas?

According to this:

http://boxeer.com/ee20_engine_specs

The engine makes roughly 150 HP, and 258 ft-lbs of torque. Not bad. It also has a nearly $6000 price tag.

That torque curve. Max torque at 1800 rpm. Fun for sure.

No idea. It just says complete engine so I'm assuming no transmission.

http://boxeer.com/ee20_subaru_conversion

The engine starts at $4875. The ECU is listed separately at $1940. Transmission is another $1200. There looks to be lots of little things too that you need. You're looking at $7000+ if the above is accurate. That's a uckfay ton to end up with a diesel.

This was in the last magazine for Import Tuner, He did the Pikes Peak run in a little over 14 minutes. He put the diesel in a Vanagon and is driving around.
