Fresh plugs and filter
« on: August 22, 2015, 01:11:03 am »
If i get fresh plugs (OEM iridium plugs) and a fresh AEM air filter, and flash my ECU, drive around for a bit, then hit the highway after a week or so, it should be perfectly fine to get to calgary for Sunny right? Its been awhile since i got my current tune, but those changes should all be easily calculated for by my ECU, and the tune wont have changed in any way correct?

The tune was done when my plugs and air filter was fresh. Wish i knew more about ECU witchcraft, but im 99% sure that it will be perfectly fine.
It's an 08.
It was a lemon before it even achieved rebuilt status.

I'm pretty sure that doing maintenance will not require an ECU reflash.

Why are you flashing your ECU after a simple maintenance procedure, and what are you flashing it with?
Do you mean reset? If yes, then that's fine.

Replacing plugs and filter with LIKE filter doesn't require any ecu mapping.
This statement does not apply if you are replacing filter with UNLIKE filter. ie. replace OEM filter box with short ram intake.
