Topic: Wheel cracked, should i buy a new one or get it fixed?

Hey guys, so went out to my car the other day and noticed my tire was flat, filled it up and took it into the shop and turns out its got a small crack in it. So should I just get it repaired somewhere or am I better off just buying a brand new rim?

Rims are 18x8.5 Rota G-Force, and they have fairly new bridgestone potenza re760's on them so I'd like to be able to still use those tires since they're still good.

This would be my opinion as well. If you bought new there might be some sort of warranty on a crack, material flaws etc.

How much does a one rota wheels cost?

Probably closer to 300 with the exchange rate and getting it to my door. But wouldn't it be pretty likely to crack again if I just repaired it? Although it is pretty small

I'm not keen on repairing cast wheels. They get their strength from a specific cooling process, and welding will change that.

But, tons of people do it with zero issue. Just like powder coating.
If you just want it welded up and not refinished (Not leaky, but not pretty), it will be much cheaper than a new rim.
