The "new and improved" OEM Subaru paint pen is actually miles better than before. Let's just hope the paint holds on to the car once I wash it.

Do you have part number for it? where did you get it, and how much is it?

Got it at the Subaru City Parts counter. If your car is MY15 or newer, it'll most likely be the new pen. The WRB colour changed a bit for the new body style.

Seeing how the weather was nice, I decided to change the oil. It was due for one anyway, and with fresh PuP in the trunk, it was hard to resist.

Bought me some ProRamp ramps from Canadian Tire, but I'll be returning them right after. I'm not entirely happy with them and it was itchbay to get the car up as they kept sliding. All I could think about was my poor clutch.

Currently waiting for the oil to cool and drain in the pan.

Did you use a 2x4 infront of your ramp before going up?  Because if not, your lip would be hitting the ramps and thus pushing them forward. I never have mine slide ever!! Over 3 years!  I use some 2x4's though..

Yeah, I used some 2x4 blocks but they kept sliding :(
I made sure to clean the garage floor thoroughly as well before putting them down.
I guess I'll keep them til the next change and see how it is then.

Might need to add some carpet or grip material underneath the ramps.

Car runs great on PuP so far and no oil burning whatsoever.

What I did notice however, is that contrary to the 5.1L (5.4 quart) quantity suggested by Subaru, I needed to use all 6 bottles of PuP (5.6L or 6 quarts in total) to get the dipstick to the FULL mark.

Interesting. I only used 5.1 L and mine sits above the full mark.

Did you reuse your Roki filter?

Maybe my 6 bottles had a little less in each lol

I also let the oil drain out for a few hours after undoing the bolt, so it could be that too.

Have you checked the level since? Say, after sitting overnight?

Yeah, checked it again this morning. It was sitting right at the full mark.

Found this lying around in my garage, so I guess it's finally time to install it later on today.

Quick update: been driving the car a lot and really enjoying it.

One thing I've noticed recently is that I hear a slight clunk when turning the steering wheel all the way to the left or all the way to the right. It happens when moving and when standing still. I'm thinking it could be the strut mounts or maybe tie rods.

Anyone with similar issues have any other ideas of what it could be? I briefly thought about the centre diff, but I ruled that out.

I start hearing that noise on my 2015 STI as well... I should go to Subaru to warranty that... No time... :(

Same thing with me, can't find the time. And I'd rather not bring it in to the dealer again. I could walk out with more issues.

What I've noticed is that it doesn't happen all the time. It's pretty random.

She's no longer mine and will definitely be missed.

Hope it goes to a good owner.
