I won't apologize.  I needed to catch up on quality time with my wife, who I chose to neglect this evening for the experience of Lotus.

If I can fit, you can likely fit.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

You should lift it. On knobbies. With quick release fiberglass clam parts for easy repair.

That's quite the mod list already! Wicked car! I parked my s2k next to one of these and it truly gave me an idea of how small these things are.

I'm jelly.

A nice English name, like Maggie Elise.

So its been about 72h since i bought the car.  Ive done around 1000km and already done a mod.  Tonight i ripped out the intake snorkle for more induction soundz.  So it will sound like thousands of bee's inhaling at once and buzzing furiously.

I love this car.

Also much learnding has happened.

So for those interested here are the factory tires sizes.

225/45/zr17 rear

175/55/zr16 front.

Yup.  You're reading that right.  175's itchbays.  Which puts me in a tough spot since ill need 4 new tires come spring.  And I have three options

-Toyo 888's
-Advan AD048
-Advan AD07

Ill be going with the AD07 for simplicity.  Its a 180 treadwear tire too.  Nobody makes the front tire size so its really hard to find.

I guess the question is, should you push up the idea of getting new rims to allow for an easier tire selection.

Doesnt help.  The biggest tire i can fit up front seems to be around a 195.  And then im starting to mess with balance of a mid engine car.....  hmm

Also.  another evil i have discovered is that i need 500$ worth of jackstands.  Because flat bottom car

Issue is finding a set of high performance tires that offer both sizes. The rears are easy to source, but none other than those listed by Jeff also come in the 175/55/16 size.

The LSS pack runs 195/50/16 fronts but those are on 16x6.5 wheels rather than the non LSS wheels that are on the car which are 16x5.5.

You can maybe get a custom set of wheels forged that will have the correct hub and offset, but it's probably best in the short term to go with the AD07 since the A048 are a 60 treadwear tire

Also - if your off the stock diameter the traction control and ABS wont work or will play up.... Damn British electronics.  So im going with stock tire sizes

So a hockey puck stuck to a jack stand makes it worth $500? Hmmm

What about these? http://www.amazon.ca/Camco-44560-Olympian-Aluminum-Stack/dp/B000760FWU/ref=sr_1_20?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1291823892&sr=1-20&tag=vglnk-ca-c48-20

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200358558_200358558 I don't know why these are cheaper, maybe the shipping is more.

69$ per jack.

not sure about those RV jacks.  I guess i could epoxy a hockey puck to em.  wouldnt know without buying a set.  but i may

- lotus talk says they are good.  The internets better not be lying.  at 6000lbs id bet they would be fine

70  x 2 = 140 < 160

An airsteam trailer is mostly aluminum ;)

wonder what the odds are that those could actually support the weight.  its only 2000lbs...
