i did a thing

drilling the holes for my tc buttons and my heated seats puckered my sholeasay tightly.  but it came out beautifully.

funny enough, i didnt do this because it was pretty, i did it because the plastic (which Duane can confirm for me) is utter garbage.  Its held in with basically two drywall screws and flexes like crazy.

the CF solved that problem for the most part.  it isnt perfect.... but its a lotus so nothing really is.

still waiting on the rest of my order from GRP.

Oh and i need new rear tires, which kyle is helping me out with.  fronts look brand new

It's pretty cool.  I liked it better when you just removed the center console, giving it that barebones look.  But I guess that was a lot of exposed wiring.  And you wouldn't be able to use that sweet gated shifter.

I like how those gauges use the pre-existing holes from the frame.  When did you put those in?

Oh. Lame. Didn't even know it was for sale. The WRX is rotting away, I will need a new daily. Would've been perfect.

Replace the red rocket with a smaller more nimble one?

It was a nice car Jeff. Hope you find something else that excites you just as much.

Like a house or something.  RIP Jeff.  Welcome to becoming an old man.  You're practically as old as Tuna now.

A sad day for sure, but I bet you took good advantage of the high demand for vehicles right now.

Onto bigger and better things.

Ish.

I didn't drive the lotus much anymore.  Found that driving it at night sucked cause my eyes are the height of other drivers headlights.

Bar none though the biggest problem was the lack of any space to actually go anywhere.  The trunk fit two cases of beer.  I'm looking at 2013-2020 Porsche boxsters.   But I've resigned myself to the likely scenario that I'll have to wait a few years for these dumb prices to come down.  The lotus probably won't come back down?  But it may.  But Porsches will.  I don't really care that much between 718 and 981 because I'm after the ability to do little road trips in it.  Bring climbing gear to Lake Louise, bring hiking gear to Emerald Lake.   The lotus just couldn't do those things

I'll say this though.  There is no replacement for this car.  Nothing I buy will be as exciting dollar for dollar.  Nothing will feel the way the lotus felt.  Which is why I'm sad.   When you are actually in the lotus with nowhere to go it's one of the best cars money can buy.

The problem is if you have stuff to bring with you.  Lol

That sounds like a motorcycle.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

If you're thinking of getting either the Boxster or Cayman, the Cayman will win for storage. You get a front and rear trunk, I sold my 981 GTS as the prices started to climb up, but it for sure won't stay that way and if you don't mind the 4 banger in the 718 I'd bet those will drop like rocks soon.

I fully understand your reasoning.
