Torque is measurement of twist, right?

I hear twisting helps.

Spencer, what Hawk pads did you go with?

I wonder if rear pads with much more initial bite would make the vectoring feel noticeably different.

Torque vectoring is only on the front brakes.

Odd, but I suppose subarus are more understeer prone. So front pads with more initial bite then. Doesn't Acura's SH-AWD use the rears for vectoring?

Yeah, some people on Nasioc are saying 'Torque vectoring' is actually just 'brake vectoring'.
(Reference; https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2713256 Post 10, 11, 12.)

I'd like to learn more about this, though. Not much online to research about the topic unfortunately :(

Welll well welll... time for me to spout more evo glory (RIP  :'( ). Mitsubishi did proper torque vectoring with the AYC system, as far as I can find first manufacturer to bring it to market in 1996 in the Evo 4.

And Subaru DCCD!
The 3 is raw.  Lighter than more agile.  The 6 probably feels like a 747.  And by that contrast, my STI probably feels like the Hindenburg.  So GR's are like the International Space Station.

I believe so. Car gets pretty good reviews handling wise.

You're implying the WRX and BRZ aren't fun cars?

We can be straight forward about this, the BRZ is boring in stock form. It wouldn't be so bad if the car wasn't hyped so hard from the start.

I am indifferent to the WRX. Subaru has gotten less exciting over the years in general.

Still a decent platform if your intention is to modify them from the start.

Some new shots...

Car wash on Friday. They were paving a new road near my house and sadly, I unknowingly drove onto it and couldn't turn around. There's now about 50 speckles of tar on the sides of the car that I'll need to Tar-X to remove soon. Hopefully get that done this week...

Back at the car wash for 10Sec to wash his car before we went to check out the illmotion show on Sunday..

This is a still image that I heavily edited into a roller ;D  Can you tell?

Few random pics from this weekend I want to share here...

Love this shot I took of 10Sec's car going into downtown

Also shot this of my friend Ed's car (I don't think he's on WSC).

Hit 120,000kms this past week. Did an Oil Change. I think it's time for Trans + Diff again so taking the car to Draven Performance next weekend for them to do it (because I've done it 3 times now including my past Subie's and it's always been the least enjoyable maintenance for me.)

Winter is coming.. My Cooper tires are down to the wear indicator on the front driver side, and very close on the front passenger. Rear's are OK. I think this will be their last season and next year I might look into something else (either those Fire Hawks or Michelin.)

DSC06171-2 by SHPIXX, on Flickr

Added 4 more lights in the Garage and now I have 8. It's overkill ;D

DSC06148 by SHPIXX, on Flickr

Washing the bugs...  Still need to paint walls. Too lazy to move stuff.  >:(

DSC06138 by SHPIXX, on Flickr

The A7iii low light performance still blowing my mind...

Also got the chance to test some new Dashcams recently.. Viofo A129 IR (Which is aimed towards Taxi/ Ubers). Haven't had a chance to fully review footage yet but it's cool if you're an Uber driver. Basically the A129 but the rear camera can be mounted inside the front to face the rear with IR night-mode.

DSC06006 by SHPIXX, on Flickr

Demo'ing the new A119 V3 which is Quad HD+ 1600p resolution, GPS, CPL, Parking mode. It's pretty sleek and around $150 (and I think it comes with the CPL).

DSC06149 by SHPIXX, on Flickr

Also installed a bunch of fancy expensive titanium gold hardware in the engine bay. I anti-sized the f*ck of out everything ;D  Will report back how it holds for winter. Inb4 I can't get any bolts off in the future..

Woke up Sunday to the sound of a stuck car outside.. With a list of errands I had for the day I tossed the Winters on and drank my morning coffee  8)

DSC06286 by SHPIXX, on Flickr

I knew the fronts were wearing down like this, but didn't realize the inside was as bad as it was. Alignment is at the top of the to-do list. That list never seems to end, just constantly grows ;D

Had some fun driving in the snow, in total did 4 wheel changes on Sunday (family)...

The LED indicator within one of my seat heater switches has randomly died/ stopped illuminating (showing the switch on). Heater still works fine.

Looked up the replacement, cheapest option is $100 CDN from RockAuto :(
