Dude, mine literally just burnt out last week too.... *puts on tinfoil hat*
Mines been out on the passenger side since I bought the car, but now it works if it's on the lowest setting...

Swap it with the passenger side or just always leave it on. 8)

This adds to the conspiracy...

I'm glad I had the seat warmers these colder mornings at -8° ;D I wonder how difficult it might be to disassemble and solder a new diode in...

My HVAC cluster LED in the Foz burnt out on the temperature side. The WRX's exterior temperature bulb also burnt out.

Apparently it's contagious?

What's funny is I don't remember a single bulb anywhere not working on my ol' GC8 ;D  I don't think those were LEDs though... (I think all the interior/ instruments etc. were T10 Halogens).

There was a guide here a few years ago on replacing the bulbs inside the switches with cheapo replacement LEDs. I think it was specifically on a legacy, but I used it on my heated seat switches for my STi.

Fun things happening for Winter mode this year! :D Working again with ProLightz + Diode Dynamics, and landed some new marketing work with a company from the US called Rally Innovations that makes these cool rally bar setups for Subaru's... something a little different for the Subie to change things up!

Installed a 9" Android Headunit in the car. It's pretty cool but feels a little gimmicky. Perhaps there's something to be said about the simplicity of the OEM Headunit. I have to install some Google Play app via. USB (somehow, still can't figure it out to be honest) because the Google Play that came installed is for Asia / Overseas so it literally doesn't work ;D It supposedly has Apple Carplay but I need to fix the Google app store first before I can download the app required for that. Maybe more hassle than it's worth...

If you can get Apple Carplay to work then that would be awesome. Otherwise I found that these units are more "standalone" than integration which tend to be more frustrating than its worth.

Recent work for Rally Innovations (USA) with this Rally Bar setup... keeping the obnoxious excessive theme going with my WRX ;D  Is it really necessary? Nope. But will I actually find some use for it? Probably.
The cheapo' Chinese ebay light pods I mounted are pretty sh*t haha... But the SS6 Bars from Diode x ProLights are awesome...

I think I might be doing some work with the new Squadron lights soon, we'll see where this goes. Good thing about some of these recent lighting mods is I can transfer then over to the Tacoma ;) ;) ;)

I can't really talk about having too many lights on the front of a car... but for what its worth the lights behind your grille are more than adequate, and actually look better than ones would be mounted on the front I think. Those bars are really only good for lights, you can't really mount anything that would put weight on the bar because of the mounting points.. that's why I went with the bumper beam mount. I'm sure having taken the beam out doesn't make my crash test rating a whole lot better than yours, but you know what I'm saying. ;D I kinda wish they would have extended the ends out a bit, maybe just to where the fogs are?

That being said, it looks pretty sharp and I'm really interested to see what you put on there

This one mounts into the sub-frame on the bottom but lights are definitely the only thing that I can think of that would fit, haha... I can't think of anything else I'd put onto a bar like this.

I'm really interested to see what you put on there.

You gotta zoom in the pics dude! ;D There's already some el'cheapo lights mounted that I got free (same as the ones I got you before I think unless you changed them since)

I'm planning on mounting the SS3's into my Foglights, but then moving them onto the rally bar (I'll need to order the special mounting bracket from Diode). (Subaru: https://www.prolightz.com/stage-series-3-sae-dot-type-a-fog-light-kit.html)
(The SS3's are compatible with a Tacoma, so all my 'good' lighting stuff will be transferable in the future.)

Same brand of bar I had on mine. I really liked it.
Copycat.

;D Yours looked awesome! That one rig shot we did behind the old Futureshop has always been my favorite rig shot I've ever done!

Love the look of the rally bar! Always had a thing for that style... I'd rock it with the Hella 500 series where you currently have those "el'cheapo lights" but I guess it also depends on what you use the lights for. Regardless, I dig it and wish I could twin you lol

It's been a couple years since I messed with Android stuff. Do you sideload the US-market Google Play APK onto it or something?

Honestly I think I f*cked mine up initially and accidentally deleted the app right from the start, so that's what I needed to do haha... I just had to download on my PC and insert a USB into the headunit and loaded up the Google Play app.

The H/U is kind of gimmicky, though. Like if I was very serious about audio and such I'd probably want way less of the cluttered touch screen features and a higher quality audio component manufacturer (Pioneer, Alpine, whatever's popular nowadays haha).

It would be kind of cool, assuming my time was worthless and I never had to eat again, to make a custom frontend for that thing.

Sold today, only 3 days after posting on Facebook. Received 90% of the responses from Facebook, and a few from Kijiji. Lots of lowballs ($10k "cash in hand" lol) and offers for random trades. It's off to someone who I think will really enjoy it very much and have tons of fun ripping around in the snow with it.

The heavy four door saloon just beat the sports car.... That's the M5's job!
