You're right though, it does make you feel depressed. It's only when it's actually happened do you really understand just how completely you are involved with a vehicle. I was in a daze, just lost angry and confused as to why and how everything had happened. I'm positive that had you or I not been able to 'amend' things so swiftly and effortlessly, that the sting of writing off our cars would have been made much harder a burden.
It really makes you appreciate things for what they are. As well as give you a wake up call as to what's really important.  :)

It's good to know that you've taken the initiative to say something hurtful towards me on the behalf of everyone here. Many of which I consider friends - who actually portrayed quite an opposite attitude towards me than you have in your post. I'm grateful for the kind support I've received from my friends here on WSC, but saddened by your pessimism.

Hey, everyone's been there!

May I ask where you got a quote for your tint? I'm assuming that they'd do a good job if you're willing to let them do it on your brand new car.

Icon Tinting & Graphics in the NE on Barlow Trail! They did the tint for my 2013 STI and did a flawless job. Lifetime warranty on bubbling and fading etc.  They were cheaper than Shadow Tint was :)

For what my opinion is worth (not much) I had a car done at icon and so did my friend. On both our cars they managed to chop a piece of the black rubber lining around the rear passenger windows.  They also used black permanent marker to fill in the gaps they missed with the tint (this is what i was least happy about). They had also used too much glue on the rear window tint around the top dotted area and said this is normal to prevent the tint from lifting (I've read this is true but they had used enough glue to cause a glue bubble). There were also exacto knife scratches on the the outside rear window from them sizing the tint (I'm being anal at this point,as you had to look hard to see them).

Next time, I'm taking my business to shadow tinting. Heard good things.

Oh wow.. That sounds like a horrible experience dude. I'd probably be just as OCD about those things.. wow. Hmm... Maybe I'll look at giving Shadow a call too then just to compare pricing and see how much more they might be in comparison.

Thanks for the feedback dude!

Good to hear both sides, as these two were the companies I was considering!

I'm assuming that you can just call for a quote, and don't have to bring the vehicle in?
And - last question on the thread, I promise - are there typically any issues with getting it installed in colder weather? Probably not, but I'm willing to be patient and get it done in the summer, if it's recommended.

You can call in for a quote, yes.
If I recall, doing tint in the winter is not a problem but I'm sure they'll be honest with you if you ask? They probably won't want to redo a job due to weather conditions?

I've been to both (looked up icon for the new car after you had gone there Spencer) and my experience with both companies was pretty good. Shadow had a bubble which they quickly fixed the next day. Icon was 100 bucks cheaper with no issues.

On the Nameless note, after seeing how beautiful their welds are and the quality of their products, I don't think I'll ever buy exhausts from other brands. Plus, their delete, in my opinion, is one of the best (if not THE best) sounding exhaust for a Subaru.

I have a pair of unused axlebacks (with the muffler delete) that I might put up for sale. Reason being is that they can be very loud on cold startups in the winter. I know Claude's wife (frcefed) hated me when I had my GR with full turbo-back lol
I'll probably go for the 4" muffler ones. I want something a tad louder than Sunny's.

Not bad. How many litres did you put in the tank though?

It was full when I took possession! Although it says I have 80km distance remaining, but the fuel light is on in the pic too.. If I recall it was about 48L I fueled up!

Thanks dude! Mileage is very impressive, especially when compared to my previous '13 STI. Nearly double on a full tank!

Ordered some Rally Armor's (black/ red), tail-light overlays, side emblem vinyls, and a few interior vinyls from SubiSpeed on October 16th (around 7am).

I read a few concerns on reddit with them and peoples credit card info being stolen/ leaked and resulting in thousands of dollars of charges from some warehousing distributor in Texas. I just used my PayPal account (which probably isn't any safer anyways).

I'm very impressed with one thing: There were 3 shipping options at checkout. 1-UPS: $30   2-FedEx: $100   3-FedEx Air: $138.

I decided to go with the dreadful UPS Option 1. I was initially frustrated because the next day I received a call from UPS asking me to provide customs/ duties paperwork etc from my own customs broker. Explained I didn't have my own, and asked them to bring it over on COD and I would pay the quoted (they provided) $38 at the door - no problem. I immediately felt like things were going to take a very long time from here... Iv'e heard lots of horror stories from UPS.

Well.. thanks UPS! My package is scheduled to arrive tomorrow!! Wow, I thought the $30 option would take 2+ weeks LOL....  I think I somehow just got lucky perhaps..

I love shooting pics of this car.....
