Fallout 4
« on: October 22, 2015, 12:44:22 pm »
I'm surprised a topic hasn't been made for Fallout 4...

As I'm relatively new to the fallout world, only really playing fallout 3 a bit, for whatever reason I had terrible luck with save files corrupting, more in depth with New Vegas, but really hopped on the Bethesda bandwagon with Skyrim... We'll just skip over the kleptomaniac side of how I approached Skyrim.

With the new ability to break junk down into the components (eg, duck tape down to adhesive) to make an awesome array of guns, weapons, and buildings, the games on the pipboy -- which may take up most of my time -- and the graphics. And anything can be done. That's the cool stuff.

The open world games have always been a favorite of mine, not having to do missions, wandering around chasing tales, blowing stuff up, and as Fallout has always been supportive of the latter, it should be a wonderful way to use my last bit of vacation. It's a world where anything can happen, and I'm so excited that it's coming back in two weeks.

Fallout 4 and a need for speed that doesn't look like it's going to suck at the same time?

I'm still debating ps4 vs pc. Leaning towards pc for fallout and ps4 for need for speed.

AND Star Wars Battlefront, that actually looks and feels reminiscent of the originals! Which I'm still on edge about until it's fully released. Fallout is definitely going to be PS4. My PC is not brand new, nor was it top of the line when I built it, Fallout will crash it.

But I'm so excited, can mod the power armour, which has jet packs!! Can build your own city, with turrets, and traders, and hells ya!

I know this thread is about F4, but the battlefront beta sucked assay (it was fun for an hour and then super boring). For those that say its a just a beta, I argue that it's not a beta if it comes out a few weeks before the game does. There's no droids or special units (wookies), they limited the special characters, you run over randomly appearing power ups to play as hero's instead of earning them, there's only a few guns which are the same for both sides (da fug), ect.

I'm going to pick up NFS and have been debating F4. All the itshay they added in since F3 and NV looks awesome.

If you're into modding the FO games then it's a no brainer.

I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. But that IS a gif after all!

On the Fallout 4 note, I'm also getting ready to have absolutely no life over the holidays.

My computer won't be built before this comes out.  :'(
Unless I can convince my wife to allow a full build as soon as I get back from Albania. She's had her eye set on a few things for herself first though, and it's really time I gave her toys priority.  :-[

I'm really really looking forward to NFS, it looks extremely promising. As for Fallout 4, I haven't played on the series since I think the first one, but the new one looks really good.

This is my feel as well with PC vs PS4. Because if I buy it on PC I'm going to want to do triple monitor, which I don't think a single 280x is going to handle, so I'm going to either need a second 280x and also a new case that has room for 2 graphics cards, or sell the 280x and buy something newer, probably a 290x.

The gun was awesome because choo-choo ya bastards, but I always had issues finding the spikes for it. With the rock-it launcher, all of the junk laying around became useful. From the sounds of it, all of the "junk" can now be torn down to the components and given new life in whatever glorious thing I can now create.

No way, dude. There's tons of ammo lying around.

Did no one in here play one or two? Or tactics? Bleh....

Played one and two pretty regularly, not tactics though.

I also came across New Vegas on sale on 360 for $5, bought it because my cd is scratched and no longer works. That should tide me over for a bit..  ;D

One more week, wastrels.

Good thing for sick days... Actually, I wouldn't do that, but booking the entire week off to use up my last bit of vacation hours.  ;D

I'm so ready to go lay down some whoopass in the power armour. Be damned if I'm not gonna try and fly around like Stark in that thing. With a Minigun. And blackjack. And hookers.

Side note, I actually hope they kept some of the casino games from New Vegas. And don't shut you off for winning 10k caps.

Wednesday is a holiday, so I'll probably just sit around all day and play until my eyes bleed.

Eh, doesn't matter too much about the caps. One play through of NV and I had over 250k caps. Play throughs of F3 regularly had me with 20-50k no problem at the end, and tons of sweet itshay and way more than enough stims. The only time you really have to scrounge is at the start, it seems like. There's always ton's of itshay to sell.

And now it's an nvidia gameworks title... Leaning towards console now unfortunately.

Nvidia gameworks is trash and you should feel bad. Its brought nothing but problems and controversy to almost every game that gets packaged with it.

Meh, just ain't care these days. Back when I was more into gaming and had time for more than just a few casual hours a week, I might have cared, but now a days, meh. As long as it works on my computer and it plays fine, whatevs clev. I also have an Nvidia card, so I'm assuming it'll work just fine.

At least I didn't pre-order it.
