Trunk struts..
« on: October 28, 2015, 04:24:05 pm »
Looking to replace my rear hatch struts.. any comments on whether to go OEM or aftermarket (RockAuto) for these?

Mine aren't holding the hatch up anymore..
They're going to park their car over there. You're going to park your car over here. Get it?

You too eh?

Tuna referred me to I think it was NAPA, haven't looked much yet though. I was in a Part source and asked, they didn't have anything.

I got aftermarket - I think they were Monroe. They had some serious lifting muscle, it was awesome.

Subaru wanted some ridiculous sum of money for OEM ones.

RockAuto is OOS of Legacy hatch struts, haven't looked it upon Napa yet.. using a 2x4 right now..

Napa's US website has a pretty good search engine; if the US doesn't have it Canada definitely won't. I usually search there first and then phone up the local Napa and ask them the part numbers.
