« on: December 04, 2015, 01:33:11 am »
i have a p2271 code that pops up intermittently on my 15 Sti. the tech doc said that  the rear o2 is sensing rich.  any advice on how to prevent it from occuring again? my car is protuned stage 2+.

Replace the rear O2? (it's cheaper than the front one)

Check the wire harness for the rear O2 sensor for damage and the connector is fully engaged.  Cobb turbo heat shield can get really close to the main harness and cut the wires (happened to another 2015 STi).   Has the front O2 sensor ever been replaced?  If so, with an OEM unit?

Gain 50 ft-lbs, ask me how! :-)

front 02 is oem never been replaced. but now that you've mentioned it i did install a cobb heatshield a few months ago and i can hear it rattle o certain loads. ill go check and see if that caused it. thanks for the response sunny.
