Thanks for the input guys. At this point I am leaning more towards going with the chrome lights again. However, I may also order the orange lights to see how they look. If I don't like it I can always just sell them locally.

If you were to keep your fogs yellow (judging they are by previous photos) you may want to keep the upper all chrome (or black  :-\). I still vote chrome over black whether all chrome or chrome & orange though.

The fogs currently are yellow again but I am starting to grow tired of the look. I have some spare 3M kicking around so at some point I will probably remove the Lamin-X film. It does make the front end look much cleaner/consistent.

You chose wisely.
The 3 is raw.  Lighter than more agile.  The 6 probably feels like a 747.  And by that contrast, my STI probably feels like the Hindenburg.  So GR's are like the International Space Station.

Had some spare time tonight so I decided to Photoshop a few images to try and see what different light color combinations would look like. They are by no means prefect, but give an idea of how things would tie together. What do you guys think? A new poll has been added. I will be going with a new set of clear headlights regardless as shown in the below pictures.

Option 1:

Option 2:

Option 3:

Option 4:

Option 5:

3 or 4 for me, I like it with or without the yellow fogs.
I've had the same colour combination on mine with both the version 1/2 and version 5/6 front ends so I'm a little biased haha.

After voting for 4, I kinda regret not choosing 2...

I re-vote for 2.

Haha. I'll take that into consideration. Option 2 is the one I am leaning most towards myself at this point. The more I look at it the more I like it. But then again I also like options 3 and 4...

I voted 2 but I'd keep the fogs yellow. All the yellow/amber!
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Time for a small update. No lights have been purchased yet as money has been tight as of late, but I did get to do some more painting! The hood vents and mirrors bases were showing their age with paint/clear starting to chip off, so I gave them a good sand and a few fresh coats of paint and clear. They turned out fairly good considering I used only rattle cans from CMAX.

Yesterday my car started making a very odd sound when starting off in either reverse or 1st gear. It happens as soon as the clutch starts to engage, and goes away once the pedal is fully released. When driving, it only does it in this gear starting from a standstill, and doesn't happen if I start off in 2nd which I find odd. If the car is rolling when I start release the clutch in 1st there is absolutely no noise. Hopefully you guys can chime in after watching the video below. The current clutch has an unknown mileage on it as I have yet to change it (85,000km+ from me driving), but it still does not slip at all to this day. The gearbox also still feels/sounds perfect throughout all gears, so I am kind of stumped as to what it could be. Perhaps its the throw-out bearing? Once I have a spare set of hands I am going to try an pinpoint the noise with someone listening in the engine bay, but any input would be appreciated.

Nothing has changed. But had to post this picture since I can't get over how damn fine the car looks!

Fail on photobuckets part. They made it so you have to pay something ludicrous like $400 to share images on other sites.

Well, as promised here is the best of the pictures I took. Turned out not too bad considering it is just from my phone! Still pretty chapped that none of my Photobucket pictures work anymore.  >:(

Well, I decided to go on a road trip to Penticton this weekend and am now stuck in Calgary with a leaking transmission! Good times! I'm going to take a look and see what's leaking in the morning, but it's definitely gear oil and near the crossmember/mount from what I can see. Anyone know where I can get some Motul Gear 300 on a Saturday? If I can get the proper seals or gaskets to fix the leak, I will need some more fluids. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am stuck in Calgary until I can get the car back on the road!

I can't verify this as I only bought motor oil...but Matrix Motorsports (in the Country Hills Toyota dealership in the Northeast) is open on Saturdays.

And same with GW Cycle also in the NE, they have Motul.

Wish I could lend a hand to help but I'm in BC meow...

What diamondedge said, Country Hills Toyota carries Motul products.
Alternatively most bike shops may have some. GW Cycle, Pro-Am motorsports, etc.

Thanks guys. Looks like the leak is coming from the bellhousing so my money is on the input shaft seal, which means the tranny has to be dropped. Looks like the car will be staying in Calgary for the weekend while I continue on my trip. Now to try and find someone to drive a car trailer down from Edmonton on Tuesday to take the car home.
