ReflectiveAutoDetailing - Going Under.....
« on: February 09, 2016, 07:54:40 pm »
Well it saddens me but having 3 kids has really limited my free time and as such it is no longer profitable to keep ReflectiveAutoDetailing as a running business and a vendor of WSC.

My hope is that this section will be moved to the hobby corner where I can still showcase work, offer helpful tips/tricks, and coordinate detailing specific group buys to help out members of this community. I will still be detailing but I no longer want to advertise this service on a public forum.

Thanks for the support over the past 2 years. I have no plans on leaving the forum or contributing any less. So if you were hoping to see less detailing related content then you are in for a surprise. My hope is to ramp up the detailing content with helpful tips/tricks, product recommendations, product comparisons, ect.

That's a shame, but it's a greater shame that you live in Edmonton.  But I think everyone would support you in your priorities.  You've really made a reputation for yourself and your work speaks for itself.

I've always looked forward to your detailing posts and will continue to do so.

Makes sense with so much going on, and I'm sure everyone in Calgary is just disappointed we never got to share in the magic.  ;)

+1 on this.

But if this is digging so much into your personal life, then I understand, and I agree that this is the right thing to do. You gotta have time to enjoy yourself.

Detailing was never intended to replace my daytime job and I still want to maintain it as a hobby. I still plan to detail every spare chance I get. I didn't want the pressure to do XX amount of details this summer just to cover business related expenses so I pulled the plug.

Sounds like a good decision. Personal life comes first. I do hope you'll still do writeups on details you do. For some reason, reading those gives me a sense of inner peace.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

...reading those gives me a sense of inner peace.

It is the practical form of taking the chaos of swirls to the accession of the cosmos, and realizing that there is nothing...  Well, the swirls became nothing, anyway.

If you come down to Calgary, Jed @ Mobile Reflections does amazing work, but not for cheap unfortunately. He also doesn't do interiors anymore, which sucks.

Agreed. He did my car just before Driven in 2012.
