Excessive Fuel Consumption with 2009-2016 Forester 2.5i
« on: March 04, 2016, 10:03:43 pm »
Hi:

Has any one in this forum experienced excessive oil consumption (1 litre per 2,000km) with the 2.5i engine? It seems to be a hot topic elsewhere on the net, but there's been no reference I can see on this forum.

Since I am in the process of purchasing a manual, I was concerned to hear that the problem is worse for manual transmissions.

Removed my first comment.

1. Fuel or oil? Let's say oil. Yes, there are oil burning issues with FB engines
2. 2009 didn't get the FB engine
