Loweing Springs
« on: March 21, 2016, 01:30:58 pm »
Hey everyone.. so i recently got some tein lowering springs from a friend who owns a usdm 98 forester. Im 99.9% sure that the springs will work on usdm 98 wagon with no issues. From the reading i found online and from other friends it will work but i would like to be 100% sure.

If no one here knows, or gets back to you in reasonable time, try posting the same thing on www.Legacygt.com.  Those guys are usually pretty knowledgeable on legacy / interchangeable parts.

But, someone on here will likely know.  They seem to know everything :).

vanszach - the springs will not fit on the Legacy struts/strut tops.  Also, there is a substantial weight difference between the two vehicles Front to Rear.  You'd be better off getting Legacy specific springs unless you want to mix and match just to make it physically fit.

I know this suspension info first hand as I've had several Legacy Sedan, Wagons and the Outback from the BD/BG chassis-up.
