Shpixx ~ Lexus RC F on Weds SA-15R's
« on: April 05, 2016, 12:41:54 PM »
I met with Jimmy and his friend Andrew over the past weekend to shoot some static shots of their cars. Jimmy requested some specific shots of the Lexus with the Weds SA-15R wheels, as Andrew was demoing them on his car. Definitely a very nice setup, especially on a car like Andrews.

Andrew definitely takes good care this beast. The obsidian black paint was slick no matter what angle you looked at it from. It posed a bit of a challenge to shoot, I could have stacked CL Polarizing filters to try to reduce the glare but I actually kinda liked the way it was coming out in the photos; that deep wet look was exactly how it was to the eyes.  First shoot of the season, not a bad start!  ;D

Very nice, do you mind if I ask what lenses and setup you used for the shots?

Thanks for the kind words friends,

Very nice, do you mind if I ask what lenses and setup you used for the shots?

The majority of the exterior shots were Canon 70-200mm F4 L,  Interior shots Sigma 10-20 I believe F4, and a few 50mm 1.8!
On a Canon 70D.   I'm beginning to really use the 70-200 a lot, as it's such a difference in sharpness compares to my other lenses. Saving right now for a 24-70 2.8L ! :D

The only reason I can think of why they chose blue for some of the interior stitching it to match the "F" type logo backing which appears only on the outside fenders of the car (which is a metallic light blue). I personally don't mind it at all, I mean.. sitting inside that interior.. I can't think I'd have any reasons to complain ;D It's just a beautiful car, far outta' my league .. maybe someday.  :sarcasm:

We can set something up this season forsure man!  I've had a few people already booking for May! :)
