Devs 2016 Golf R Build

After selling the XT I was set on getting a manual performance hatchback, some of you may know that I was trying to get a Ford RS, but with production cuts I was not able to get one this year. I got my deposit back from the dealership and headed to a Volkswagen dealership to check out the R. I was glad they had one in the showroom for me to look at! After sitting in the vehicle and comparing it to the RS (I sat in a ST and the interior will be the exact same as the RS) I immediately felt the difference in build quality and I knew that this was the one, especially with the slim pickings its pretty much the only other choice.

The only thing I didn't like about the VW was the Cadiz wheels that it came with. I was told on forums that any of the Rs ordered now would now be able to get the Pretoria wheels (available in Europe) I was sold.

Congrats! Love the Pretoria wheels, nice choice. By the image you chose of the interior, I assume you got the 6MT instead of the DSG?

I have a Lapiz Blue R 6MT tech arriving shortly as well. This place is going to be turning into the VWSC

Excellent! I received my notice that the car landed in Halifax early last week.

I ordered a JB1, and will get it installed and then run the car on Sunny's dyno for some graphs and stuff.

I agree, they've been very helpful and communication was quick and easy. I didn't deal with Ryan but with the people I've talked with they've been super friendly and helpful
