Forester ST/b Common Issues?

I'm looking to buy a 2001 Forester ST/b and I'm just wondering if there are any common problems with them or anything I should know before purchasing one.

Had mine for 3 years and have countless friends with them only common stuff is, rad cracking, valve covers leaking and maf sensors dying as they are sensitive other than that they are great. Any other questions just ask

Fuel pump on mine died shortly after I got it, sounds like its a common issue for jdm subarus in general.

Also from what I recall the rear wheel bearings on the early models used an older style inferior design and had to be replaced with tapered bearings.

I have a 2001 forester s/tb and need to replace the front right side cv axle. Wondering if the north american one will fit?

Yes it will. That's what I've used. From Rockauto they're <$100 a piece.
