forester engine mount sitting high
« on: June 21, 2016, 09:16:45 pm »
Doing head gaskets on a '03 forester. Removed Intake manifold, dogbone, tranny mount. Decided id give it a try doing the job with the engine still in the car, jacked up the engine and did the HG job, went to lower the engine back down and it was 1 inch to far to the passenger side. used a engine hoist to lift it up and a pry bar to push the passenger mount in, drivers side mount is now sitting about a inch or two higher than the crossmember, the entire engine needs to go to the drivers side about 2 inches. Ive tried jacking the body up with no difference, cant seem to push the motor over or down, nothing i can see or feel that is under the motor. The only thing i can think of is that i jacked the engine to high and pulled a front CV out.

Just seeing if anyone has had this happened to them before or has and idea or solutions to try. Thanks  ;D
