I went today, and it was one of the better days i've had at sunshine in a while. Not much ice at all, and snow everywhere.

Arrived at 9 and there was about 5-8cm already on the ground. Snow kept falling all day, so there was essentially fresh snow every run. Some areas had about 10-12 cm untouched by the afternoon.

It wasnt letting up much by the time we left, so i'm assuming tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday will also be pretty good days considering the forecast as well.

Very strange, the Sunshine site is saying they got 3CM in the past 24hrs. When I looked yesterday, it showed 0  ???

I wish I could show you my friends' Snapchat story. Definitely a consistent snowfall almost all day.
I remember digging my hand in the snow after waiting for a friend at one point, and the fresh stuff going 3/4 up my mitt. Easily around 10 cm. And this was at the top of a lift just off the beaten path. Sure, some of it could have been previous snowfall, but because it was snowing all day, i'd say with confidence that I had fresh snow almost every lap.

NOICE!
I've got plans to head there on saturday. Staying at a buddies place in Banff on Friday night, so we're expecting to be first one of the first up. Looking for a solid open to close day of boarding.
Happy to hear its not icey!

Oh I believe you, just weird that Sunshine wouldn't be posting the awesomeness on their site. Part of me wants to go Saturday, but the other part of me wants to be lazy after the long drive and riding last weekend lol.

I was rather surprised to experience this! There was really only about 2-3 icey spots that I came across all day. I would recommend staying away from the south bowl on Goat's Eye. The top part of that was terrible. The upper area of Continental was sweet. Moguly, but definitely really enjoyable with 15+ cm of snow up there. The parks were also pretty fun. My friends and I had a train of 6 of us hit a few jumps and smaller rail/box features, and it was a blast.

Go on Saturday. Friday is supposed to get another 10+ cm, and Saturday is calling for some more as well. As someone who has probably been there over 30 times in my life, I think it was in great shape yesterday. One of the top 5 days for me for sure.

I find that top spot of Goat's Eye is always a little sketchy, especially when it comes to the turn to cross the mountain.

I almost always avoid the sunshine coast. I'd much rather bomb through the chutes, thats probably my favourite spot at Sunshine  >:D
Its about as close as you can get to Kicking Horse.

I plan on sticking to Wawa and digging myself out of tree wells all day anyway haha.

I had a lot of fun going through the trees last Friday on Wawa! I also enjoyed the drop from Standish to Strawberry chair, that was pretty fun with the deep snow.

That's why you head skiiers left and head for the South bowl ;) The upper part of the bowl sucked, but lower down it wasn't as bad.

Should be decent tomorrow. Just leaving sunshine now.
Didn't get any snow last night so it was pretty ski'd out.

Still had such a blast. Back door had some alright untouched, also some tighter trees
Had powder. Only around a few cen tho, under most of it was pretty ittshay snow.

Ya man, got the $50 ad-on (what a deal in retrospect) for 2 years and then realized I basically never went, and even as a skier I wasn't too fond of it. Went this year at Christmas for a week with the family and confirmed that I do not like it as a winter hill at all, Big White is where it's at.

So stoked for summer....

That surprises me. I always thought the powder gulch express looked like a fun spot. never been though.

side note, if you're going to ollie off a roller at 110kmh don't land on the upslope or the next roller.

Oh man! I had written this season off, but got an opportunity to go to Revvy for nothing more than gas money. Looks like the snow forecast for this week will produce good conditions for Saturday. I'm (Revel)stoked!

Planning another trip to sunshine on the 11th with a friend.
Going to grab another Costco 3 pack tomorrow but wonder if anyone would be interested in buying the third ticket?
Maybe coming skiing/boarding with us, or just wants to buy one at a discount.
Most likely my last trip for the season so if your interested hit me up with a PM or reply.

I was planning to go on the 11th before RedndWhite's birthday so maybe I'll see you there. I already have a seasons pass though.

Revy's snow report was only showing 13 cm yesterday... everywhere we went it was at least boot top to knee deep. We spent most of our day back on Gracias Ridge and North Bowl. At one point we were standing on this little knoll with 10 or more other people, was expecting the whole zone to be tracked out, but we found this entire area that hadn't even been touched, it was an incredible day of steeps, pow, and cliffs!

Had a great day at Louise today; one of the best I've ever had there. The snow on the main runs was nothing to write home about but found some great lines on D gully (I think), power line (not sure if that's the official name for it), and maintenance run (ob just off the bottom of the platter).

Saw Gabe and we stared into each other's eyes for a bit.

It's nothing compared to the snow some of the other mountains are getting but it was still great.

Was at Louise today as well but did not see you guys!

Have to agree with the description of the snow however, the backside of t-bar was one for the books, especially when the sun was shining on it in the morning.
