Little change of plans for this Saturday, decided to switch it up and bought some passes to Lake Louise as they sold them in twos and I won't have to worry about selling the 3rd one. Looking forward to seeing a new mountain, anyone have some good run suggestions? (trees & steeps)
I consider myself single black diamond capable (no avalanche training or kit) but I do enjoy some challenging terrain and maybe some rollers or fun spots for a little air.

If it snows, Summit Platter has really good snow that you don't need to hike/know the mountain really well to find. Crow Bowl (off Paradise) is good as well and leads into some fun trees.

No prob!
I'm sure some of the other guys can/will chime in as I have very little idea what runs I actually go on frequently haha. My buddy just goes and I follow suit. The runs I mentioned on Sunday were fantastic. D gully is double black but it's really only difficult at the very top; once you get past the chute it's great. If it snows and there's some visibility, there's no problem at all. Powerline is great and all trees; it's OB but I don't think you can get lost unless you venture way off skiiers left. Even then, I don't know if it's possible. I wouldn't recommend Maintenance run unless you're with someone who knows it well; I wouldn't do it unless I was with someone more experienced than myself.

I find that LL has more trees compared to SS so if you're into that, you'll have a good time. If I make it up this weekend I'll give you a shout!

That would be cool, thanks for the info and hope you can venture back out for some time on the mountain.

Hope it snows like it did for us a few weekends ago.

I'm contemplating maybe Sunshine this weekend. Looks like they're getting snow all week.

Not much activity in here. Went to sunshine 2 weekends ago and conditions were good. A buddy of mine went this past Sunday and said the same. Headed out there this weekend to use our free day.

I second this, this past Sunday I crushed so many turns and untouched (albeit not super deep) pow off Divide chair. It warmed up in the afternoon into what my co-worker calls "Hero snow" and it's true,
I was trying to land little ollies (I've never ollied before until Sunday).

The back leg burn was reaaaaaaaaaaalllll lol

Had 2 riding days at Big White this past weekend. Hangovers aside, the conditions were great. Friday there was a lot of fresh snow and the sky was blue bird; my buddies and I figured that it was one of only a handful of days we could remember with conditions as good as they were. Managed first tracks on Easter Chutes and it was completely untouched. Had a fantastic run just OB to skiiers right off of Gem onto Fourth Ace. Saturday we had some great runs on Powder Chair but spirits were dampened when we came across a guy who was knocked out in the middle of a run. One guy said he saw him coming out of the trees pretty hot and took a fall after what we assume was losing an edge after compressing too hard at the bottom of a steep-ish downhill. Unsure if he knocked himself out from hitting his head against the snow or against his knees. Fortunately there were a few ski-partrollers on the same run who took care of him. Scary stuff.

Went to Sunshine the past two weekends. Last Sunday was great, couple inches of fresh snow, and managed to get first tracks on a couple runs on Wawa. It was my girlfriend's first experience with first tracks, and we had a great time. Sun came out in the afternoon which made for interesting conditions.

Weekend before that I did the Dive for the very first time. Hit some of the chutes and dive proper. Great experience with fresh snow again. This has been an epic season.

Where is dive? I've never actually been to it and don't even know how to get there. Where does it come out? Is there a chair at the bottom?

I only know you access it from Great Divide chair. I heard the gate open and close like 10 times while strapping in up top. Once you end up at the bottom I don't know where you go...

I'm not good enough to in there lol

Do you also require avalanche kit for going off that side?

AFAIK to unlock the gate you need an avalanche beacon.

Y'all are mostly correct. Delirium Dive is the off-piste area just upwards from the Divide Chair. You need an avalanche beacon, shovel, and probe in order to go ride there. They only open it on certain days due to avalanche danger, but it's a great run, as it's much less ridden than the other trails. You eventually end up at the Goat's Eye Chair, but you'll usually have to walk for about 5 minutes in between.

Haha this season just kinda snuck up.

The dive is fantastic the only thing worth skiing there. If you want to try it just rent equipment from the u of c outdoor center. I don't think they let you solo it so you need a friend similarly equipped.

Silverstar is alright, the terrain isn't too interesting but the base area and amenities are very nice. Spring skiing.

Fernie was REALLY good all 3 days of the easter weekend.  5 star corn snow on Friday and Sunday and about 15-20cm of fresh on Saturday.  Last run of the day at 4pm down morning glory was no track in sight pow!  I don't know where everyone was!
