                                               2016 Crystal Black Silica WRX
After my old car called it quits on the way home from a snowboard trip in Fernie, I started looking for a new vehicle.
I ended up going to Subaru city one day to look at a 2012 forester and walked out the door with a 2106 WRX Sport in Crystal Black Silica.

The week after I picked it up I headed over to 10secdream place for a new vehicle prep. Car looked amazing when I picked it up. Link below to his thread on it.
http://www.westernsubaruclub.com/smf/index.php?topic=51559.0.0

Currently the car has some simple cosmetic mods, nothing to serious. Currently going to work on getting the car set up for winter.
Come Spring I will start to work on some simple power mods. The car is my daily driver so wont be looking to make any serious power.

Had a few more goodies show up early this week.

My Rokblokz short flaps arrive as well as the GCS Switch Blade Key
I also picked up a set of rims on the weekend, Enkie Raijins.

The Key was a bit of a pain to get setup as the FOB buttons didn't quite sit right in the openings, I ended up having to file the openings to make them slightly larger.

Not the biggest update but started getting a bit more prepared for the winter season.
(Crappy Phone Pics)

Husky liners came in the other day and so far I'm happy with the fit of them, should help to keep the interior nice and clean.

Nice looking WRX!
How do you like the Husky liners so far and where did you order them from?

Thanks,  I'm happy with how it looks for now.

I've had them for about a week now and so far so good.
I'm really happy with the fit and they seem to stay in
place very well so far.

I ended up ordering them off there website.  Took about a week to arrive.

Had a decently productive weekend.

Started off by getting the winter tire setup on the car, back to stock rims  :(
Also changed the oil with Penzoil Ultra Platinum 5W30 Syn and installed a battery blanket that came with the car.

Next I decided to get rid of the stickers and yellow caps in the engine bay.

And finally I had quite a bit of tail light overlay left from wrapping my rear fog light, so I decided to wrap my front fogs.

Caps are actually the stock caps.
I looked for replacement ones for awhile but couldn't find any so I decided just to paint the stock ones.
Overall pretty happy with how they turned out.

Those caps came out awesome!  What did you paint them with and did you relabel them with red paint as well?

Interesting colour on the fogs. Be careful you don't get ticketed for having red lights on the front of the vehicle.

Thanks, I just used some Krylon colour master spray paint. Used a Red touch up pen from a previous car I had to highlight some of the labeling.

Thanks for the heads up, it did cross my mind during the install that it may cause me some issues.
I'm hoping the fact that I never turn them on (since the Light output was ishtay even before wrapping them)
will keep me out of trouble.

If I start having issues its easy enough to just peel it off.

Tackled the last project I had for the winter set up which was the roof rack set up.
I picked up the final piece for it last week from Dylan780 (thanks for the sale!) the Yakima Fat Cat 6.

IMG_0740 by Sheldon Hunt, on Flickr

I started with test fitting the rack system.
To make sure it fit correctly and to see how much over hang there would be on the 55 inch bars.
IMG_0751 by Sheldon Hunt, on Flickr

There was more over hang then I wanted, so I ended marking and then trimming the end of the bars.
I forgot to take an after photo but will get one once I have the set up back on the car.
IMG_0760 by Sheldon Hunt, on Flickr

Next up I had to wait a day or 2 for the vinyl to show up. Once it did I started on wrapping the fairing.

Before Photo

After Photo
IMG_0835 by Sheldon Hunt, on Flickr

Next up was the Yakima board carriers, one wrapped one to go...
IMG_0838 by Sheldon Hunt, on Flickr

Last was the Thule Bars themselves after cutting them down I decided to wrap them in matte blood red to
try and tie them into the color of the accents on my car.
You can kinda see the shorter length of the bars.
IMG_0841 by Sheldon Hunt, on Flickr

lastly a mock of what it will look like all together.
IMG_0851 by Sheldon Hunt, on Flickr

I cant decide whether I want to put some type of logo on the fairing whether it be Thule, Subaru, WRX, ect....
I will take a few photos after I mount in on the car.

I like it. It's nice to have something different, and I think the red will tie well with the lights you have.
