Had a bit of free time last night so decided to fix some issues I had with the armrest of the car. I always found that it was too hard and didn't have enough padding in it. Also every time i leaned on it it would kinda Click/Pop so wanted to find out what was the cause of that. I also noticed that the leather cover was starting to come unglued from the frame.
Soon as I had it unbolted I found what was causing the Click/Pop everytime I leaned on it.
I guess I lean a little to hard on it.....
Found 2 broken spots on the underside of the lid. Ended up gluing them back together, will see how they hold up.

Once I had the leather cover off I could see what the factory foam looked like, It was pretty thin.
Thought about removing it but it was glued on pretty well so decided to just add the new foam over top.
Used upholstery glue to attch the new layer of foam and gave it about 1 hour to dry. Once it was dry I trimmed the corners a bit to round it off and give it a better shape. (pic below is before shaping)

Once it was shaped I reinstalled the leather cover. It was a bit tight but went on fairly smoothly.
I don't think I could have went with any thicker foam as the ends of the leather cover just reached around to the back side enough to
re-glue them any thicker and they wouldn't have reached. Reinstalled it in the car. Feels a 100x better then the stock one, Much more comfortable on the elbow and forearm.

Also our Fleet manager at work ordered a pallet of heat and Noise canceling insulation for our work trucks, so I was able to get a box for free for the car.
Will hopefully be enough to do all 4 doors and and maybe underneath the rear seats.
