Our long time customer Laine has entrusted us over the past 6 years to help him turn his "less" desirable narrow-body WRX into one of the best track focused street builds we've seen. Laine is very different to many enthusiasts as his only concern is making the car turn, accelerate or stop better without concern for noise, comfort, vibration or any of the things most car owners deem important. This car has gone through a few different versions and the latest one is by far the best. With a built short block, quick spooling Full-Race EFR7163 stock location turbo and all the supporting mods the car is set-up to hustle around a road course quickly. It won't be breaking any 1/4 mile records with 365WHP and 380lb/ft on pump gas but the overall package is extremely responsive and feels as though you're never out of the power band. The real sweet part is the car is set-up with the COBB Flex Fuel kit and by simply fueling up to E85 the car easily lays down over 430WHP and a nice flat 400WTQ. The power was limited as it still features the factory 5-speed gearbox which is the only weak point left in the car. The suspension on this car is really dialed in with a set of AST 4150 coilovers providing the body control even with 450lb springs front and rear it still rides smoother then many stock cars. It also features STi Brembo brakes front and rear which were needed to slow this thing down on track. Laine has had us remove the factory radio and in it's place install a Defi triple gauge set-up. All he needs is the sweet sound of the turbo spooling and the aggressive tone from his Invidia Q300 exhaust to keep his ears satisfied.
