No one will buy those tires/wheels.  They're too small!  Swap the brakes.  Then once they're worn out, swap back to the big ones.

I actually got a couple offers for them. I might just take the money and put them towards some 15"ers for next season. (regardless of whether or not I swap the brakes)

My biggest concern with leaving the larger front brakes in is ruining (or reducing) the ability to lock up the rear brakes before the front by stabbing on the brake pedal. It helped a lot at rallycross and ice dice.

Well, if the idea is to keep this as cheap and POS as possible, I guess Mustang parts are the way to go!

jk.  That's a pretty good idea.

If i could shark one off a mustang that had just driven through a dense crowd of people, that would be swell :)

If you use the pliers facing the other way it'll tighten as you push rather than trying to pry the pliers open...

I will try and remember this Grant :)

Man, this aluminum hood is way lighter than the steel 2.5rs one that's on the original LW. Probably around 20 lbs or so :)

Time to sticker bomb the passenger front corner of the hood.

Sweet!  Take out that rear bumper beam too!  That'll be another 20 lbs.

jk don't do it.  I can't believe you didn't have a bumper beam in the old car.

Should have had the garage door open to show the other Subaru there.

Yeah, you do need more Subarus.

My problem is not having space for more Subarus  8)

Should have had the garage door open to show the other Subaru there.

That one still brings a tear to my eye. I try and keep it out of the spotlight as much as I can :'(

I didn't mean it in a bad way... more of a 'wow that's ingenious and I hope his car doesn't start on fire' kinda way.

I now have 3 things I didn't have when I first obtained this car

1. Stable income
2. Monthly insurance payments, instead of annual insurance payments
3. Space in the garage to work

In light of this, I put insurance on the car, then went to the registry to see if I can register the car before I started working on it... I never got a bill of sale because the previous owner just put the car on his farm, and never insured it...

YAY, I registered it!!

In light of this, I think it is time to tear down the original car... And get the good parts ready to transfer over to the new one...

I'm going to start tearing some parts off tomorrow night. If anyone wants to join, lmk
