Go man go, it's different than yet another dyed black (and better than one poorly dyed black so it's stripey).

Not my personal taste, but it looks very well done.

It's a good install. Not sure I'd do it on my own car but it looks neat.

Extra points if you add a planetarium projector inside http://a.co/8mpaGu8

In all seriousness though I wouldn't have ever thought of it, but it kind of grows on me the more I look at it. Hope it ages well for you too. Any other ideas on keeping a theme going?

I'd recommend a Kevin Spacey face added in there somewhere.

It's a little bit out there, but I wanted to set my car apart from others

You're the 5th person to suggest a planetarium ahaha. Thanks, probably a boot and a shift nob for now!

Rally Wink Mirror Install
« Reply #32 on: July 20, 2017, 11:39:29 am »
Since I never re-installed the sun visors, I thought I should put something in its place. How about a 36in wink mirror?

The first step was to remove the oem mirror, which was easy enough till I got down to the button… To remove it we heated the metal and wiggled it with vice grips.

The only modification needed to get the mirror to fit where the sun visors were, was the cutting the bolts so they didn't bottom out.

How do you find the wink mirror functionally?

It took awhile to get used to as you can see cars moving beside you, but it is awesome! You can see pretty much 180 degrees behind you.

I finally got around to getting the windows tinted! 28% all around with the brow on the front window!

A photo with the tint and and a bike on the roof rack.

Tint looks good.  How's the paint holding up on this section?

Thanks! It is holding well, where the belt rubs the paint disappears but conveniently enough black Sharpie is the same color and doesn't rub off as easily, so I just use that as a cover-up.

There is never enough time...
« Reply #38 on: May 02, 2018, 10:40:30 pm »
It has been a while...

There is never enough time to do everything you want to do, as a student that works and runs a YouTube channel this is very prominent. Through the semester, this was evident, not once did I get a chance to make an update to the build log. And because of this, I have decided to retire the build log.

If you are wanted to keep up with the build, I continuously make weekly videos on my channel www.youtube.com/c/chase_schrader

Best of luck will all your builds,
Chase Schrader
