So, after a brief stint with LL02bugeye, this car somehow ended up back in my possession, thanks to the overwhelming generosity from my circle of friends! ;D

I now own 4.5 vehicles :o

The car kinda fell on my lap, and the acquisition caught me off guard, so i could use some inspiration on where to take the car.

One of the things i wanted to do to the car before i sold it was to paint it

I want to paint it something maybe like this

Or maybe this

First step is to find some storage for my 4.5 vehicles! :-X

Congrats one the new....................... car.

I too hope to find a new car soon.
I don't name things I know I'm going to sell eventually. Hence why I'd never name any kids I had.

The flares and the deep dish wheels with meaty tires look great.  I like the green on this.

cuz if i sold him all the nice bits out of my car, it wouldnt explode in a fiery wreck. Nor would he want it do, because the resale value of a standalone drops dramatically with fire damage.

No no, I meant, why not go full General Schwarzkopf with the desert camo AND buy your nice bits?

Finally got the car registered (as of 2 weeks ago) after surviving the winter rush at the shop.

solved a few problems on the car, so i could daily it.
(because why not)

Installed ew battery. Old one, purchased in Jan 2018, killed due to parasitic draw.

Resloved parasitic draw, solved by finding and cutting the correct wires behind gauge cluster.

Resolved musty and oil-like smell in the cabin... by removing all interior trim located from the b-pillar rearward and tossing it outside.
(I'm not much of a detailer)

Also installed a set of hand-me-down Blobeye struts and springs on the car, fixing the mad rake from the Forester struts i accidently gave Nick to install.

Car runs well! The exhaust breaks necks! 8)

The updates this car deserves... So which part of your gauge cluster doesn't work now?  ^-^

The door-open light. It was the cause of my draw. There was a short to ground somewhere between my gauge cluster and my door switch, causing the light to remain on all the time. Cutting the wire (Blue-orange iirc) eliminated the ground and fixed my problem.

Other than that, the cluster works exactly in the same sorta uckfayed up way it did before

In positive news, the strut-tower rust on this shell is less bad than it was on the old car!

I have been daily driving the wagon for the past couple of weeks. So far it has been pretty good.

Last Tuesday, we had that 40cm dumping of snow. Unsurisingly, the wagon handled the snow like a champ! The car dragged its belly on the snow in a lot of places, and the car currently only has 8yo nonstudded dunlop winters on it, but the car had no issues getting me to work when a lot of other people couldn't ;D

I have been daily driving this car since I had it registered back in December.

A few weeks ago I did some tinkering on the wagon, and I got a few cool small upgrades installed to make it somewhat more better as a daily.

-Install rear 6x9 boxed speakers (with bungee cords)... The brighton was not sold with rear speakers, but it was pre-wired for them so hooking them up was easy! The stereo is now more capable of overcoming the road noise and exhaust noise from the missing interior.
-Bugeye rear swaybar... This sway is larger in diameter than stock front swaybar :O)
-fix loose rubber exhaust hangers
-'02 bugeye fogs installed with led fogs... the Brighton model didn't have foglights, but it was pre-wired for them. I added a little bit of wiring from a blank connector under the hood to the bulbs, plugged in the existing connector under the dash to an oem fog switch I had, and added the missing relay, and I was in business! Simple process
-Installed 16" light bar in grille location, wired to second oem fog switch i had.
-wired horns to oem cruise control button i had
-installed jdm nardi wheel to replace miniature flat-bottom Sparco wheel

Winter is almost over, so soon it will be time to park this and bring something else onto the road

1 year and one month since my last post on this car.

Last month, sold the car  friend of mine, who goes by "PeachyAmanda" on this forum. She is super stoked about the car, and I think it went to the right home! ;D

Last year, in late may or early June I bought my 2009 Honda Civic Si. I put the laggin wagon on the backburner, since the civic was much more livable for daily driving, and my old-man body needed a break from the extensive NVH the laggin wagon provides.

I love the car, but between work at the shop, and keeping my civic maintained for track days (which i did a TON of last year), i have not had the time or energy to do any work on the Wagon. The only thing i have done in the past year is install the roof rails (which i had delivered from vernon lol), and replace the MAF sensor, which went bad after months of sitting under a cluster of trees in my backyard.

Plus i had 5 cars. Everyone tells me that's too many.

I am happy the car is with a new enthusiastic owner. Also its not completely out of the family, and I'm sure Amanda would happily let me drive it at Rallycross again one day :D
